Listened to this song this morning for the first time in my life and wonder how I could miss this fine song. Love especially the guitar in the beginning and that mandolin-like guitar from 1:37 on.

@Gundi Have you ever seen him in concert?

Yup, 5 times. He plays longer than others and sounds 1:1 like on his albums. He rocks.

Hereā€˜s some easy and fun song for a change. Itā€˜s even a joy to watch him having still fun on stage. Admittedly, some of these footages are already a ā€žfewā€œ years old, lol. But still. I love that man.

I get bored of easy & fun songs pretty fast. I prefer the ones which have something to tell.

I really like that guy, but I wonā€˜t spend my hard earned money to buy his book. But I am admittedly curious to learn more about what shaped him. In this interview he gives an interesting insight into why he plays such long concerts, which often last over 3 and sometimes even 4 hours, lol. I envy the guys in that Philly concert, lol. In a different and older interview I heard, he went for many years up to 4, 5 times a week late at night alone to his parents house where he grew up - long after his family moved away already. Seems his father handed him a heavy weight to carry. The more I am happy, the load got lighter with time. May it be always light enough.

Another song which was new to me. Great lyrics.

I like that he also takes the time to fulfill some dreams. I just wonder how that guy managed to take contact before the concert to organize it. Lol@I love you even more than Bruce.

In the second video thereā€˜s more info about it and it answered my question, lol. He made a proposal to his girlfriend while Springsteen was playing Jersey Girl! And that turmoil this created got the attention by Springsteen. Very clever. Very lucky and veeery funny. I also was surprised to see the little dog of the so ā€žhardā€œ looking Steven Van Zandt, lol.

That was awesome! Made me tear up lol. That was a record breaking 4 hour show.
I saw John Cougar Mellencamp at Winstar a couple of years ago and it lasted 45 minutes. I was incredibly disappointed. Springsteen is suppose to tour next year. Maybe I’ll get tickets if he comes to this area.

Yes, that sucks. Btw., I too like many songs by Mellencamp.

If that proposal video made you laugh, maybe this one here with his ass shaking mother will do it again.:joy:

But if you really are that lucky to get tickets for Bruce - please donā€˜t tell me.

I guess ā€žRacing In The Streetā€œ is my favourite non-German song. Probably only songs by Springsteen are on that top 10 list anyway, lol. I love the melody, I love the arrangement, I love that long piano part in it and when the first drum sticks kick in (although in this version both the piano and the drum sticks are weaker than in other versions). I love the lyrics and of course Springsteenā€˜s unique voice. No other English song can top this one for me.

I admit I haven’t even heard most of the songs you’ve posted but this is the prettiest song you’ve posted thus far. Do you ever listen to other artists?

Meet my dog, Gunda.

He is addicted to petting and chasing cars. Most of my guests want to take him home. One of them took this photo and sent it to me last night.

Cute! My dog creates exact the opposite wish in my guests, lol. Due to her negative experiences as a streetdog, she barks heavily at anyone who enters the garden gate. It just takes seconds now though, till she realizes, that guests I let in don’t mean any harm and from that moment on, she’s nice. She seems to be as small as your dog, but her head looks similar to that of a German Shepherd - which adds to people rather taking her serious instead of getting into cuddle mode, lol. But itā€˜s already much better. The first 6 months she would have bitten every man who approaches her and especially men with a cane, nordic walking sticks or a hat on. With the help of patient male friends, she got passed that thankfully.

I listen to quite many artists actually. But Springsteen is by far my favourite, though.

Granting me a wellness bath after hearing the news by our landlords, that their insurance probably dodges in case the reason for the water inleakage is based on a construction defect — which is likely. After my own household content insurance backed out already, I really need that relaxation, lol.

While bathing, I listened to Springsteen’s new album, which has too much country elements for me, like that steel guitar. It also lacks the typical Springsteen energy. Itā€˜s …nice but it sounds like if his depression won this time. Nevertheless, there are some quite nice songs on it.

Do you ever go out dating, Gunda?
