That book of love version is really nice.

I don‘t want to post over Dans post in the tv thread, as he just did that a few hours ago. So I pretend it‘s only because of Perris A Thousand Year song why I place this video here.

Nice song to prepare breakfast to and having a wonderful start into the weekend.

Took a day off due to a meeting with the architect who also is into building Modul Houses. Let‘s see what he says to my wishes. I pondered the whole night yesterday if I could reduce the qm2 down from 50 to 40 if that’s the only way the costs of the „basic“ wishes for my Modul House would fit the budget - always presumed of course the interest rate won‘t ruin all these prior efforts to downsize and go minimalistic. But without a cellar I doubt the 40 qm will be enough. So, I will close my eyes and press my thumps, lol. But I sincerely doubt his offer will be within my budget.

Slept longer than I usually do because I fell asleep very late. But my room mates survived. At least physically, if also under loud protests (well only the cats, my dog just snuggled up onto my back when I woke up to the meows.

Didn‘t know this song, but at the time of release I haven‘t own a car and thus didn‘t listen to the radio. The video is very unique and I love it. One of the best music videos ever.

It‘s not often they play this gem on the radio, but my beloved Bayern 1 does it from time to time. Like yesterday. And so I post it here today. Love it.

So I go to listen to Bayern 1 to see if there’s anything I like there, and they’re playing Madonna. And now John Denver. lol.

Ugh @Madonna. That‘s really bad luck. But Denver is great!

Oh, well not particular that song (country roads). Really bad luck.

They are now playing the worst song ever done by Genesis (Jesus He Knows Me). Is this all English language pop?

They play often songs from the 80s there. Queen, Bowie, and they make fun of our Bavarian politicians every morning.

Yes, mainly songs in English.

I asked ChatGPT.

No, Bayern 1 is a German radio station that primarily plays classic hits from the 1970s, 1980s, and 1990s, along with some newer songs. While a significant portion of its music selection includes English-language pop and rock, it also features German pop (Schlager), rock, and other international hits. The station caters to an older audience and focuses on nostalgic and easy-listening music rather than current chart hits.

ChatGPT, is there a German station that plays only German music?

Yes, there are several German radio stations that exclusively or primarily play German-language music. Some examples include:

  1. Radio Paloma – Focuses on Schlager music, a popular German pop genre.
  2. Schlagerparadies – Another station dedicated to Schlager and German pop.
  3. Radio B2 – Plays only German-language music, including Schlager, German rock/pop, and some folk.
  4. Schlager Radio – Specializes in Schlager and German pop hits.
  5. BR Heimat – A Bavarian radio station playing traditional folk music (Volksmusik) and Bavarian pop.
  6. MDR Schlagerwelt – A public station that plays a mix of Schlager and German-language pop.

If you’re looking for only German-language rock or pop, you might have to check specific online or regional stations. Let me know if you’re looking for a particular style!

Never listened to any of those and never will, lol.

Schlager Radio is playing a German language version of Dancing Queen by Abba sung by some girl named Julia Lindholm. I don’t hate it. lol.

Just breathtakenly beautiful.

Sleeping at Last

You taught me the courage of stars before you left
How light carries on endlessly, even after death
With shortness of breath
You explained the infinite
And how rare and beautiful it is to even exist

I couldn’t help but ask for you to say it all again
I tried to write it down, but I could never find a pen
I’d give anything to hear you say it one more time
That the universe was made just to be seen by my eyes

I couldn’t help but ask for you to say it all again
I tried to write it down, but I could never find a pen
I’d give anything to hear you say it one more time
That the universe was made just to be seen by my eyes

With shortness of breath
I’ll try to explain the infinite
And how rare and beautiful it is to even exist

With shortness of breath
I’ll try to explain the infinite
And how rare and beautiful it truly is that we exist

Québec music from my youth. There was an energy to that music from that time and that place. It was magic. Irresistible.

Also Colombia.

I think I was thinking of a thousand miles by Vanessa Carlton, not a thousand years by Christina Perri. I’m convinced Vanessa Carlton and Michelle Branch are the same person.

Both of them are a lot older. Vanessa Carlton looks it the most. Michelle Branch does not seem to be doing the innocent girl love me for my singing and guitar talents any more from on of her more recent videos.
