Well, dang. Your post makes me not want to listen to the first song lol so I think I skip it today.
The lyrics of the first song arenāt describing a really bad relationship. The male protagonist is actually quite decent even. Itās just sad if a single mother agrees to such a practical arrangement out of despair. On the plus side - itās a duet and both singers have an incredible good voice.
Itās really worth it. Maybe a glas of red helps too, lol. It would totally fit the athmosphere of that song, though.
I enjoy the silent and still dark morning and extra set the first alarm 30 minutes before the actual getting up time. My dog and usually Kimba, do enjoy this time of the day too, lol, while Ganymedes already went to the kitchen and waits there, as soon as the first alarm went off. Which means exra cuddle time only for Jamie and Kimba, lol.
I think I like Springsteens voice because it so fits to the seriousness of the stories he tells. Just like Stings calm and sexy voice fits incredibly well to the love themed songs of him. Itās a total different approach. And as I am more the serious type, I listen mainly to Springsteen. But in this song I think Springsteenās voice is at ease as it is in no other song he sings. It just occurred to me right now for the first time, when preparing breakfast for my pets and me in the kitchen, listening to this song. But maybe itās just because I am also very relaxed because I have now one week off, lol. Listen to it again and with no other focus, other my coffee.

Awww, my neighbour is already in the forest walking her dogs, as she goes on a shopping tour together with her Mum. No jump start for me this day thankfully, but a very slow slide into it. I hope the sun comes out at noon for less cold temperatures. That will be my first dog walk. Thank God I have a garden. 
Actually, I donāt want to switch the Blood Brothers song for another yet, but sacrifices must be done from time to time. This here isnāt too bad either, though. Who needs meditation if you can level out your stress level by just listening to Bruce Springsteen!!! Heaven canāt feel better. 
Was taken by surprise as my Spotify kicked in this version of that song. This version was new to me and I like it!
I really love that song. I just cringe a bit at the line āNo doubt in my mind where you belong.ā.
But maybe I am too sensitive, lol. But other than that, I absolutely love the lyrics and the melody as well as the calm arrangement. And his weak, broken voice fits perfect to the athmosphere of that song.
Itās a beautiful song, Gunda. I love the part where the writer pours out their love with a promise to ānever do you wrongā.

I agree. And honestly without even the slightest sarcasm or provocation I donāt get how you can have this opinion and yet agree with the subordinant role the Bible assigns to women (I would also criticize this general categorization if the Bible would have done this to men btw.).
Clearly, Gunda, Satan does not deceive men. Women do.
