I just saw the lyrics and I’m sure he chuckles when people sing along to his music not understanding the full meaning or depth of his words.
This could be about some bluff or hand I suppose.

Female snaked can produce young without ever being inseminated naturally by a male snake or digitally or artificially in some lab or breeder coop.
Implications. And just trying to sound bad and on relations.
It’s for the love of Jesus and how much of that people begin contributing to themselves.
Thunder Road. One of his best songs both lyric- and melodywise, along with Racing In The Street and a few others from that early time. Written in his twenties. I am a bit surprised that this song works also without the E-Street Band, as they bring in a whole different dimension. But it probably works because of the piano.
This song was inspired by a young neighbour who fell in Vietnam and to which a very young Springsteen looked up to as a role model.
Nice song Gunda. It wasn’t until about last year that we finally got some official acknowledgement about my father’s exposure to agent orange. It probably was a lot more than that. But my dad didn’t complain like a lot of the others did. Fairs fair. He worked with a lot of injured and dead. He told me a story about finding a soldier with severed vocal cords still alive in a body bag . Nobody else was making the effort to double check and the moaning from a corpse probably scared them off.
I’m sure because if that effort I was able to coincidentally be there for the last 15 minutes of his life.
I have some kind of gene from that exposure(s) I’m certain.
We got this. Taps. Also a 21 gun salute (kind of). The taps is often a recorded playback from a bugle, and the 3 rifles only one fires. They gave my mother the bullet casing and we had a flag folding. We were also told the possibility of a fly by which we got but we weren’t the only family there that day and I’m not sure because it was at Miramar ( top.gun). My nephew made it too in uniform to support my niece and our family.
No napalm or herbicides. Fairs fair.
I am honestly sorry for this.
Gunda, everybody is sorry about it that’s why I don’t need apologies.
i was gonna say iam not…
but in that case iam very sorry too!
I heard this song yesterday for the first time when driving home from the office. I didn‘t realize instantly that it was him singing, as the style is pretty different than the other stuff of him. It certainly won‘t sneak into my favourites of him, but it‘s nice enough to get posted. I actually don‘t understand why I like him, as his character never was attractive to me. He also looks ugly. I dislike even his face. Nevertheless he has something which sends out some gravity. Maybe because he never looked like a total bad guy. No clue.
I am glad he obviously made the turnaround for the better. What I read at least let me hope, he is a good husband and father.
This is my absolute favourite song by him. I love the lyrics. And the music too (which is perfect for listening in the car as loud as possible), but the lyrics are the best. What can you more wish for yourself and your partner? That‘s what love is about. To empower the one you love for that you both can grow.
I love that song for it’s catchy guitar/mandolin riffs. It’s a great song to start your day. Which I am going to do now by feeding my pets and making me breakfast.
Just a fun song for a change - and the lead singer is very handsome too.
For some reason his voice always reminds me on Michael J. Fox.
He‘s another Welsh! Interesting. The 3 most handsome Brits I know are all originally from Wales (Tom Ellis, Ioan Grufudd and Kelly Jones) and the most handsome of all, from Ireland (Pierce Brosnan). And all are lean and dark haired. Funny.
I googled Michael J. Fox and this video with Coldplay came up. I didn‘t know he is in such a bad condition now due to his Parkinson disease. I enjoyed to watch him in Family Ties. I wish him all the best.
The „choir“ at the end was wonderful. I joined in as well. I am really moved now by that performance and to see Michael J. Fox again after so many, many years. I better make me a new coffee and grab the final Christmas cookies my mum packed into my bag before driving back.
