Ok, I’ll bite. Why am I a homophobe and selfish in your opinion?
Then have fun crossing path with that German Shepherd/Rottweiler mix of my neighbour. Very well trained, but if someone is behaving strangely in they eye of that dog, then she becomes aggressive. Seen it with my own eyes. If a jogger suddenly stops for example, that already is a trigger point. A strange clothing, a strange noise can trigger her as well. She received that dog from a different private shelter in Romania when the dog was about 6 month. No clue if she made a negative experience in Romania but I can exclude this since she is in the hands of my neighbour. Someone walking nude I bet isn‘t giving her the secure vibes she needs, lol. The second dog, also from Romania, a pure huge black Labrador which was younger than 6 months when she got him, isn‘t insecure at all. And yet he reacted deadly serious, when the father of her suddenly arrived in the house with his motorcycle helmet still on. He didn‘t realize it was her father and jumped with all his weight toward him, making him fall flat onto his back and growling, the nose shortly in front of the mans throat. Luckily my neighbour was right beside him. Otherwise - according to my neighbour -he would have seriously bitten her father.
i didnt say that but usually what i type after i make a statement explains why i make that statement…
i think my homophobe sense alerted me when you were talking about “normal” kisses, but likely i just wanted to do a similar cool looking-ps like you did?
lol@motorcycle helmet story, i always have fun when i meet dogs but usually not that much fun!
sure, dogs will naturally react differently when you startle them (just like humans), some have the initial reaction to try and attack, others get confused and/or bark like crazy (just like some people will scream loudly when you sneak up behind them and tap their shoulder lol), others back off or simply look at the owner waiting for a command…
dogs can be trained to do any of those reactions and more, but usually a bit of that natural reaction will remain and will pop up whenever their owner isnt calm and guiding them
tldr: if the dog keeps attacking after that initial reaction, its not trained properly
i disagree, i think you can always know what can trigger any living being: anything
its how people react after that initial response that will mainly decide what happens next
Gorgeous. First the calm piano version and then the change to the band. Great lyrics too. I love this simple melody. Could roll me into, lol. I never tried this melody on my keyboard. Maybe I got time on this coming weekend to try.
Another one of his tremendously energy loaded classical Springsteen songs I so love. You can‘t other but grin the whole time listening. I love that piano. I love the sound of that band.
If the title is correct, I was only 4 years old back then. I can’t believe that.
Another classical Springsteen song I wouldn’t want to miss at a concert. Once again, the typical piano sound is what strikes and catches me immediately. The piano creates the atmosphere. That’s what I love so much on his old songs. Aside of his voice and storytelling of course.
Another icon of his old songs, if although without that piano sound I sooo love. Nevertheless it‘s a great song and one the crowd also expects to be played for sure, lol. Energy pure (pure energy?). Whatever, lol.
That Barcelona concert must have been a blast. He played so many if not all of his old songs, which are my favourites of him and most I posted here were from that concert. This one here does not belong to those classical Springsteen songs, but it has addictive character due to the main melody. A great story to tell as always. And that positive energy. And yes, we could need some sun here too. She is still missing. Can‘t remember so many weeks without in a row.
From Wikipedia: Bruce stated that he had performed the song acoustically for Clarence Clemons in the hospital room prior to Clarence’s death.
“I had a feeling he could hear me because he could squeeze your hand. When I first went to see him, there was some response to your voice and to you being in the room it felt like so I took a hunch. I knew he was going to die and so I brought the guitar in and strummed a song called Land of Hope and Dreams.”
The song was performed in the presence of Clarence’s brother William and his nephew Jake, who is a current member of the E Street Band, as well as a couple other people.[[31]](Land of Hope and Dreams - Wikipedia)
Now two calm songs from my beloved old songs of him. I love his energy loaded songs, preferable with a heavy piano sound. And I can‘t emphasize with words, how much they mean to me and the magic they unfold. But my favourite songs are these two: „Racing In The Street“ and „River“.
I begin with Racing In The Street. I love when that drum taps start and the song picks up a tad bit more speed. And then that instrumental finale with the prevailing piano. A delight.
The lyrics are sad and yet comforting. My favourite text line is this:
„Now some guys they just give up living And start dying little by little, piece by piece Some guys come home from work and wash up
*And go racin’ in the street“
I bet this song never was left out at a concert. His fans love this song. And so do I.
Racing in the Street is my favourite song by him due to the touching lyrics and that seemingless music flow which carries one throughout the song.
The River comes in second only because of the tad weaker music. Maybe it’s the harmonica which I wish would get replaced by the piano or organ at that particular part. I am also not fond of the humming at the end. Regarding the lyrics, to me this song is the best of him and that‘s why:
I once read, it‘s mainly based on the life of his sister and her husband, who was a construction worker. Their wedding happened like narrated in the lyrics. But Springsteen also mentioned, his sisters home was more home to him than his parents, as he didn‘t get along well with his father. Therefore this song is also about that people sometimes need a save place to go to when they can’t get home. I like that meaning.
Despite I did a long search last night, I can‘t find my favourite live version. But I found this one from Glastonbury, with a very unique camera angle which catches him in a very unique way. You can see the body steam rising from his wet body (and I don‘t mean this in any sexual way, as I never had a crush on him). He is simply working physically hard on the stage and you can see the result here. It looks like an aura, lol. Good catch.
I dislike that song as most songs from that album. It‘s his weakest one. But pedo? Not if you eher have seen the music video. And btw., I never understood nor liked those Daddy and Baby terms used by many English speakers regarding a sexual partner.
I love the video capturing the people having a great moment, which obviously means a lot to them. I can relate to those faces expressing the ease, fun and awe.
You can see all ages, sometimes you can see some parent(s) with their son or daughter.
