Love it.

I could easily listen another day primarly to the prior song, as I love it very much. But this one here is beautiful too. So I will switch back and forth today.

Perhaps you could leave Lucifer on in the background, so you can admire that British guy.

Before I can do that while having breakfast, I need to silence my pets as they are hungry and won’t let me enjoy that british guy.

Gosh. This is so beautiful. :dizzy:

I love this guy. He gave me the answer to some burning question of mine I carried around the whole Sunday. When I finally got home from the last dog walking, I finally decided to google to find some opinion about the meaning of this particular phrase about why the third shot of Whiskey (Jack) was poured out for.

According to this bloggers website https://estreetshuffle.com/index.php/2020/09/30/roll-of-the-dice-moonlight-motel/ he posted with this song „Moonlight Motel“ one thousand consecutive days of daily Springsteen lyric meanings. That‘s some passion for this artist I appreciate, lol. And quite a lot of passion he had to share, lol:

„Excuse me for a moment while I get something out of my system:

There are only two shots poured in “Moonlight Motel.” Two!

I don’t give a darn whether Mary’s dress waves or sways (it’s an extraneous detail that matters not one whit to “Thunder Road”), but it drives me absolutely nuts every time I read a review of “Moonlight Motel” that mentions a third shot poured out in the parking lot.

If you see three shots in your mind when you listen to “Moonlight Motel,” you are missing the magic of its deep symbolism.

Okay, we can proceed now.“

Now also I know that there are only two shots in total and not two but only one full shot poured out.

Pouring out liquor has deep symbolism in American gangster culture, too. Seriously. No joke. It starts at 3:25.

And as the blogger (rightly or not) views the song “Moonlight Motel” as an “intentional callback” to “Thunder Road”, I am going to post this gorgeous song here as my gift to you all for today.

I agree with that blogger, that the songs on the album Western Stars don’t belong to Springsteens greatest songs to listen to in a concert, if he also considers the lyrics of “Moonlight Motel” as his best work.

Anyway, “Thunder Road” definitively belongs to the best songs ever written and played. And it’s energy fits perfectly to start ones monday. Enjoy!:open_hands::clap:

thanks a lot, you really really shouldnt do that

He delivers such a gorgeous performance here. You can see how content and how much joy he has. I love him. May he live for many, many more happy years. He certainly helped me with his songs over hard times and enriched the already happy ones. And I enjoyed every single concert I attended live. And I can’t say the same about other international famous musicians.

Jesus, even in the worst acustic hall I ever listenened to any artist, no one booed. That was here in Regensburg in the icehockey arena. It was really, really terrible, but he and his whole E-Street Band made the best out of it. Played enthusiastically and smiled - and appologized for the bad sound. Again. No one was angry of us but we left happy.

its great it helps you and gives you so much joy
also thanks for teaching me, now i understand how people like you and reg can feel tormented about having to watch people enjoying themselves in gay parades…

Thinki, be fair at least when lashing out. Yes, I don’t enjoy gay parades or gays kissing in public if done extensively (I don’t mind a normal kiss). But I am equally appalled about heteros kissing extensively or about the Carneval in Brazil, which is done mostly by heteros. Too much naked skin is nothing for to show in public. My humble opinion. If the majority sees it different, so be it and let everyone walk naked if they want. Thank God I live in the countryside and far away from such idiots. As they need lots of people to watch. Here you only see a few people walking their dogs. Naked dudes and dogs not really fit together. Especially when those dogs love to play with sticks.

P.S.: I don‘t mind if gays demonstrate for their cause. Just like any other groups who seek equal respect and equal rights.

lashing out? i think i was more than fair and accurately described the truth in a very polite way in that post?

sure, we all have our opinions and preferences
what do you mean with extensively kissing? would that be kissing someone all over their body?

and a “normal” kiss? what is that in your opinion?

trained dogs will only follow their owners lead, if you get excited and want to play with sticks, they will

ps: i dont mind if homophobes and selfish people share their views and try to justify them, its always good to get things out in the open… but what do i know? iam just a selfish “idiot” that can actually be happy for others even when they have awful taste in music and cant tell a good penis joke

You never did answer this, Gunda.

True.

lol you feeling left out? you know i care about you too, my dutch brother from another mother

There is no need to be insulting. Do you like Dick Schoof, Nico?

dont know the guy personally, but making a former head of an intelligence/security service the prime minister of a country is never a good idea

i do like it when foreigners try to pronounce his name

Worked for the Russians.

I googled the pronunciation.

lol yes thats working out great

excellent and its about time people learn how to pronounce van gogh too!

First I want to point out, that you didn‘t answer to all my questions neither as well. Second, if I didn’t respond to that question of yours, then it‘s because I didn‘t see it. But sure, we agree on those gay parades, if also probably not exactly out of the same reasons. I only dislike those parades if they show too much nudity. Where we definitely differ is, that I don‘t think homosexuality means a danger to society in any form. Therefore I fully support equal rights without any negative connotation. You don‘t, as you supported Putin’s highly oppressive laws which forbids even the publishing of interviews of homosexuals on tv or media and makes it dangerous in practice for homosexuals to come out of their closet. Which surely causes a rise in suicides and psychical illnesses and other negative effects. I also don‘t believe it‘s a matter of choice or lifestyle, as you sometimes referred to.
