i dont like many covers of one of my favourite songs, but i like this one; interesting choice of instruments
its also a good excuse to post the original again

Horrible noise. 300 years ago, Europeans made the best music in human history, and now they listen to angst filled drama weenies who should shut up and cut themselves already.
I just listened to this again. Brilliant song.
Reagan was another piece of shit. May he rot in Hell.
He had an interesting combination of racism and dementia. It is possible he was more stupid than racist. His son said he had dementia during his second term.
He was a piece of shit. He wasn’t kind or good. He didn’t help anyone but the rich. His wars on drugs and crime were total failures, and targeted the weak. He cut welfare, education and social security, he broke unions, he deregulated everything, and he cut taxes for the rich. Every single one of those policies failed. He coined the phrase Reaganomics, which is a now-totally-discredited pile of nonsense about how if you cut taxes on the rich, the magic budget fairy will somehow balance your budget. He was a shitty president and a shitty human being. I am happy he is dead.
at least reagan had bonzo and that chimpanzee saw to it that guantanamo bay was not active while she was in the white house!
How fitting (well mostly at least). And it‘s music with no bass beats. How much my ears enjoy this simple arrangement and my heart and soul the lyrics and melody.
Are you aware that song is about Muhammad Ali’s boxing match, The Rumble in the Jungle, with George Foreman in Kinshasa, Zaire? I know how much you love boxing, Gunda.
Lyrics
Once there was a battle there
A hundred thousand people there
All those people gathered there
To see the rumble in the jungle there
In Zaire
The champion and the challenger
Came over from America
All the people came from far
To see the rumble in the jungle there
In Zaire
And who was the victor in the night?
No finer Kentucky boy, Ali, won the fight
In Zaire, in Zaire
In Zaire, in Zaire
In Zaire, in Zaire
In Zaire, in Zaire
And all the people chanted there
Seven rounds of torture there
One more round and Ali’s there
There was great excitement everywhere
In Zaire
The lightning struck twice in the night
First in the ring and then after the fight
In Zaire, in Zaire
In Zaire, in Zaire
In Zaire, in Zaire
In Zaire, in Zaire
In Zaire, in Zaire
In Zaire, in Zaire
In Zaire, in Zaire
Omg. And I thought it’s a romantic love song. I am shocked now.
Two more weeks to work and then I pack in Jamie and a friend to spend a whole week in a Wellness resort in the Bavarian Forest, which is only a 40 min drive from where I live. Hot waters, massages, saunas, delicious and long breakfasts (my favourite time of the day) and not even a coffee to be made by oneself - sigh. But first there is work to be done and so much other stuff. So i better start this week. Good morning to all good hearts and souls out there!
sounds awful, but try to enjoy!
Agreed! But women often like that kind of stuff.
Yes, this is rather a women stuff. I don’t know any man who likes wellnessing. Which is a riddle to me, as I can’t imagine a more relaxed location for sex. Way better than in holiday resorts, as the atmosphere there is a toootal different one. At wellnessing you are focused on the body and focusing on ones wellbeing. Aside from eating times, most people run around naked under their towel anyway on their ways from the various pools into the various saunas to choose.
