I thought this was interesting. After selling our information, Facebook has decided to discontinue location-based features. Now that doesnāt mean Facebook has stopped tracking us. It just means we canāt search Nearby Friends, Weather alerts, Location History and Background Location.

No doubt. Rubbing them together is illogical thinking, for smart people.
Nobody used those anyway. Facebookās whole gig is erasing distance between people. Iām just as close (online) to people halfway around the world as I am to someone down the street.

Thatās not exactly true, Reg. Facebooks gig is collecting data on the personal lives of its users. Googleās gig is to collect data on personal interests and Twitter collects data on personal beliefs. There is no privacy anywhere. Itās invasive and these 3 have too much power.
