I just realized, there didn’t exist a Europe topic till now. And I start with a tiny plant of hope. I wonder, we haven’t heard anything yet regarding modernization of the EU or even to move further into the building of a United States of Europe. I probably won’t be alive if this happens eventually. If ever. But lets be optimistic.
And another treaty is signed after 20 years of negotiation.

Another poignant video. I post it under the Europe thread, as the war in Ukraine is actually a European issue, not just an Ukrainian one. The countries mostly affected by the war started by the Russians, are European.
On a side note: The european news are coming thick and fast today. I have read today, that the EU agreed to end Russian gas delivery till the end of 2027. I only guess, that this is only valid as long as the war goes on. It would be stupid otherwise.

But I’m happy you made a new thread, so we can talk about Switzerland and Norway, too. I really like Europe. I still today support the idea of Canada joining the EU, although I admit it’s unlikely to ever happen.
