South Africa just suspended alcohol sales again. I honestly don’t think they’d be worse off if they made it permanent. The Muslims might be right about this issue.

Closures for me again. Fitness Centers and Hair Salons amongst other places. I had plans today.
So, I got a call out of the blue last month from a guy in Edmonton. I had my third phone meeting with him today, just now for about 2 hours. He has a small software company, about 20 people, and he’s in need of my company (not the new Cloudmakers venture, my existing company). I can do exactly what he needs, and the money is significant, but I’ll need to travel to Edmonton by the end of the year. Right now, I’d say it’s 50-50 that I will be permitted to do so. Maybe a bit less. This lockdown crap just hit close to home.

I sold the data center in 2015, Mark. I still own the research company (which this guy needs) and I’m trying to get Cloudmakers off the ground but new business for the research company keeps derailing me. lol.
That’s nice. When you run out of options, we can try my plan.

I am not soft. If I thought it would work, I would totally be in favour of summarily executing everyone involved in the Colombian drug trade. Actually make that the worldwide drug trade. If I thought it would work and if I had the power to do it, I’d pull the trigger myself and shoot every one of them in the head. The problem is I’m not seeing that approach working. Nature fills a void.
I managed with great difficulty to get an exemption from the travel ban last May and travel from Australia to the UK on compassionate grounds. It was the most harrowing trip I have ever made for many reasons, COVID being the major player. Here are a couple of airport pics at the start of the journey which somehow reflect my experience.
