I agree with this, but the fact remains that COVID would more likely kill the fat rich guy. That’s not enough reason to want to be the poor thin guy but it is why the COVID death rate is so much higher in western rich countries. We are physically weaker.

It almost always does, but in this rare case it’s the rich that lose and the poor that win. A fact that nobody in the media will observe (even though anyone can see it plainly) is that the world would’ve been much stronger if we had just let COVID go wild and kill off our weakest. I’m not saying we should have done that, and I don’t support having done that. It remains the case that the world would have been stronger and richer if we had however.

I had a covid-19 test last night. Negative. I was in the ER and I asked the nurse if there were any covid cases in there. He said “they’re everywhere”.
