The article did state that it’s probably temporary. Once everything gets back to normal, emissions may go back to previous levels.
I don’t really think everything is going to go back to normal ever again although I do sort of wish it would. It’s an awful thing to prefer pollution to a lockdown. I think this is the new normal. Face masks are the new normal. Glass shields at every check out counter is the new normal. I’m just not sure what to think about this new military involvement.

Here in BC, we just had a huge opening up, literally just today. Restaurants are open again. You can have friends over for dinner. The current plan is to have all restrictions of all kinds gone in a little over 90 days. No passport required.
That said, I am in favour of vaccine passports and making the lives of antivaxxers as uncomfortable and inconvenient as possible.

I agree with all that. I still think most antivaxxers want to open up. May 29th we pretty much open up. 75% at Fenway park. Masks not needed.

I fact checked it yesterday by driving around Vancouver and looking at all the people happily enjoying eating in restaurants, drinking in pubs, and walking around outdoors with no masks on. He is, in fact, “running headlong into a brick wall” if he’s trying to argue that this is all being used as an excuse to lock down more.
