I am an inch/centimeter apart from a climax that will change everything. As much as I hate to say it, but to give up my old life, I will be needing that final push. Her position was that Mississippi would not be participating and quoted Exodus 20: 8-11 to which she has been getting mocked for. When I zoom out, I somehow don’t think she didn’t know the Sabbath wasn’t on Sunday. It was very much like watching a movie. Setting the stage for a greater debate about resting on the sabbath or Sunday, if the pope gets his way. I’m not paranoid. This is the news. Can I help it if it lines up with Gods Word?
Try not to to read too much into that. It was just an observance. Maybe that woman doesn’t really know the Sabbath is on Saturday. That’s not important at all. It is deceptive if she does actually know. That’s on her and I don’t care about it. We are all vessels of the Lord. What is important is that they are setting the stage to amend our constitution. We, Protestant America, are going to use our authority to change Biblical Law. When that happens, people who live in heavily populated places should move out of the cities. Take it any way you want. You only deceive yourself.
Michele, you do realize that Protestantism began in Germany back in the 16th century, started by a guy named Martin Luther? I don’t think Protestant America has much say in the whole thing beyond a handful of people in a handful of states who care a lot about these things.

Nonsense. All the ten commandments were given to Israel in that same section of the Bible. Can those all be skipped, too?
There is no commandment in the New Testament for Christians to observe the Sabbath.
So what? There’s no commandment against homosexuality in the New Testament either, nor is there one to avoid sex with animals or screwing your aunt. Those laws are all in the OT. Are those all fine too, now?
The O.T. neither commanded the Gentile nations to observe the Sabbath nor condemns them for failing to do so.
So what? The OT also never commanded gentile nations to not screw their aunts or animals, either.
There is no record in the Bible of anyone observing the Sabbath before the time of Moses.

The Sabbath commemorates the Father’s finished work of creation, while the Lord’s Day commemorates Christ’s finished work of redemption, the “new creation.”
By this argument, all the old laws, including those against homosexuality and sex with animals and incest are all no longer in effect because Christ fulfilled the law.
No, but those are not part of this discussion so I would ask you to try and focus on the Sabbath and what the message is.

if they manage to get the majority of a country to agree with that and turn it into laws thats great for them but it doesnt concern or apply to me at all, i will continue to do what i think is right no matter what

I believe you’re the one missing the point. You can’t pick one law in the Old Testament and say “this doesn’t apply because of this and this and this, but all the other laws right beside that law in the Old Testament still apply”. If working on the Sabbath is ok, then screwing your aunt and dog is ok.
