Christmas Music

bah humbug to all!

I am friends with two Dutch men here in Vancouver. Dutch by birth I mean. They’re both long-term Canadians, now. One married an Indian woman. Isa and I went over to their house the other day for coffee. Good men, both. What the hell happened to Nico?

Apparent, he still has that free Canadian tampon stuck in his back side.

He appears not to have taken his own advice, specifically “try not to be a c*, it’s Christmas”.

Oh no, Reg. I don’t think the Dutch have to do that, do they? I mean, they didn’t create advice so they don’t have to take their own, do they?

most people change while some remain the same and while some believe its growth, its not always for the better
i remember a solitary outcast that believed in freedom of speech and then he started calling people names, censoring others and now even himself lol

what is a cunt to one
 is just another human being

Wait, what? Isn’t calling people names freedom of speech? And isn’t choosing to write “c*” instead of “cunt” also freedom of speech?

yes

If you don’t know the Dutch, this video reveals everything they are. What I found interesting about it was that they are all like that. I mean, all 17 million have the same characteristics so these people are not difficult to figure out.

Punctual–Never would they be labeled tardy. That would be an impossible reputation to live down.

Planners never spontaneous. Something could go wrong, I guess.

Tall–They contribute their great height to milk and cheese and sometimes butter.

Direct–Because they haven’t created that filter, yet.

Unapologetic–Because their word is truth. Even if it is a lie, they didn’t know that when they said it, so therefore, no apology necessary.

Incomparable–Because Germany, France and Belgium are in a different class.

It’s your directness, Nico, but what is direct to one is a sexist, male chauvinist, bigot to a cunt.

Einen schönen 1. Advent! This is my first Christmas decoration, which admittedly isn’t impressive.

No snow in sight. So I have to imagine some snow fall and this song helps.

Sung by a young boy.

And by a whole childrens choir.

It‘s not really a Christmas song, but that particular (and only that) film version with a rather rebellious and boyish main character of Cinderella (Aschenbrödel) is shown solely around Christmas time and this since my childhood. It became a Christmas tradition to watch on tv just like Little Lord Fauntleroy. This soundtrack contributed a lot to it‘s popularity, beside the unique female character.

I totally feel with them and agree to every little detail they say.

I’ve probably posted this 10 times now but whatever, it’s Christmas and this is joyful.

Busy year for us Christmas-wise. Lots of Christmas events. I’m totally bored of parties and am ready for January now but I still have about 5 more events before the season is over.

Make it 6 . I need to write to you.

Feel free to post anything you like, Mark.

Gayla Peevey was 12 years old when she recorded this in 1955. She is still alive.

My 6 year old niece sang it in the car. I’d never heard of it. Lot of lyrics for a 6 year old to memorize.

That was nice. I like the solemn atmosphere.

But I remember you posted once a Spanish Christmas song which is about fishers. It belongs to my most favourite Christmas songs since then. I forgot the title and the name of the performers, though. Would be great if you could repost also that song.
