Chile, the south american paradise is over
Ferni, Chile has been a mess since the riots of 2019. It was over years ago and PiƱera left the country worse than it was when he first became leader. Give the new guy a chance. Yo creo en Chile.
Chile has been a mess because of PiƱera.
We chose a right wing person to defend our values, like freedom, order and the constitution. Instead, he gave our Constitution on a silver plate to the communist.
That was the beginning of the end.
We are not a rich country that can afford to raise minimum wages, lower working hours, eliminate the private pension and health system. And raise the taxes to the sky for rich people and industries. the system is going to collapse (See Argentina)
We were not voting for Pinochet now, itās been 30 years since we are back on democracy and saying that is just unfair ofr people like me. I donāt support killing people for political reasons.
We were voting to keep our economical system, where people depend on themselves and not on the state.
I do want improvements on the well being for poor people. But not taking back all that has made us a great (the best) south american country.

This was aproved in PiƱeraās time. He gave priority to this discussion on the parlament to be aproved.
Same sex marriage is aproved when societies are prepared for it. And we were, even under a right wing government.
Just remember, Canadaās communist health care systems costs far less than the capitalist system in the USA. We pay less and we get more. Sometimes communism is cheaper and more efficient.
You canāt compare Chile with Canada. A pear and an apple.
We donāt have the economical back ground that you have.
But you can compare Chile with Argentina, with similar resources. You can google the results.
I could also compare it with Colombia, which is poorer than Chile. 
Colombia has total communist health care. Itās full of bureaucracy and paperwork like everything in Sudamerica, but everyone is covered. Even drugs are covered.

reg, we are talking about creating a whole new country, with a whole new social and economical system, not just on health care, on everything.
And not with the brightest bulb in the lamp. With a 35 years old revolutionary kid. That has never been maried, never raised a kid, never worked for salary. Never made a bussines of his own.
I hope this finally goes well, really do. But i canāt see how.

I understand. Health care is a religion to me. I despise the idea of letting some kid die of cancer because his parents canāt pay for chemo.
As far as everything else goes, I have no answers. I knew everything 30 years ago. Today, I just hope for the best like you do. A 35 year old who has never worked or run a business or been married doesnāt bode well, I admit.

yes it was approved in pineras time, but this issue was already made by michelle bachelet in 2017 and not by pinera (who is personally against it, so most likely only supported it because the majority of chili wanted it and he was hoping it would help him winā¦)
