White would probably bring the king back to e1, rsther than capturing the pony on g1. I guess I would bring the fatty queen to h4 after that.

I like Magnus a bit. I respect him a lot. He is not endearing the way Pragg is but he is incredibly good at chess. Pragg is more fun.

It is clear to me that the world is moving away from achievements, anyway. Who cares who the strongest man in the world is when we have bulldozers and forklifts? Who cares who the fastest driver is when nobody’s going to drive in a few more years, anyway. Who cares who the best chess player is when my cell phone can beat him?

Not Gukesh, Pragg, Vidit or Anand. Some guy you’ve never heard of now has a 2805 FIDE rating.

More than likely he plays the piano, is disciplined in math and will probably grow up to be a doctor in America if his religion doesn’t condition his mind to invoke a terrorist plot against his neighbors.
Michele, you really shouldn’t assume that every brown person is a Muslim. The kid is almost certainly Hindu. The (Hindu) Indian government does occasionally assassinate Sikhs but they are not known for doing terrorist acts.
