Pushing too hard too fast in the ev race
Donât count Japan out. They have a history of making a comeback. They are still formidable and some still remember.
Omg, thatâs Scott Bakula! I loved him in Quantum Leap. That series was great fun and you also learned each time a bit of history (of course in a black & white perspective only, but still). I definitely would watch that series again if itâs on tv or on some streaming service. He also played in another series I liked but forgot the title. Not NCIS, thatâs pretty boring. Ah yes, now I remember. The other series I loved was Star Trek: Enterprise.
That was a fun TV series. I had already given up TV for decades when it was out, but I downloaded that one on whatever pirate system was popular at the time. Pity the new Star Treks suck so badly.
Yes, they also had the best theme soundtrack and video. The video is just wrong regarding the wright brothers. It was Gustav WeiĂkopf.
Everyone hated the theme song. lol.
Star Trek: Enterpriseâs theme song has always been hated by fans, but it became Star Trek canon thanks to Captain William T. Riker (Jonathan Frakes) turning it into a joke on Star Trek: Lower Decks. Enterprise was the first Star Trek prequel series about the pioneering 22nd-century voyages of Captain Jonathan Archer (Scott Bakula) and the NX-01 Enterprise. But from the very first episode of Enterprise, fans have been rankled by its theme song.
Enterpriseâs executive producer, Rick Berman, wanted to differentiate the prequel from his other Star Trek series, and he eschewed the traditional musical score over the showâs opening credits. Hoping to make Enterprise feel more contemporary, Berman opted to use a pop song over the showâs titles. âWhere My Heart Will Take Me,â which was written by Diane Warren and was featured in the Robin Williams film Patch Adams was selected (although U2âs âBeautiful Dayâ was used as a temporary track). Enterpriseâs version of âWhere My Heart Will Take Meâ was sung by Russell Watson. The lyrics, especially the first line, âItâs been a long road getting from there to here,â are infamous among Star Trek fans, and the song has been, at best. polarizing, and, at worst, reviled, ever since.
I donât get why, lol. I love it. Oh well, loving is a bit much, as I dislike that singers voice. But combined with the video itâs great. Without the video it would be kitschy.
You know whatâs amazing? The non-chlorinated brake cleaner spray smells exactly like fresh McDonaldâs right down to the lettuce on the Big Mac
I rotated my tires front to back and criss crossed the back to fronts and greased my brake pins and everything else I could super heavy. I adjusted the star wheel on the rear so the wheel doesnât rotate as freely. The drum might not rotate much with light force but the tire will spin 2-3 times. I might do another click months down the road as they were very loose before and I had a mystery squeak after changing pads and shoes and even slave cylinders!
Oh yeah and letâs not forget lots of brake dust. I have breathed this in so much being in garages where it covered the floor thick and exhaust fumes. There was a an exceptional amount in the rear brakes probably because I had the shoes so slack against the drums, not now much tighter.
And of course the joy of fresh McDonaldâs smell from the whole can I used of brake cleaner.
I had to order on the app.
One AI sent a woman to a cemetery for a charging station as National Charging Station
Remember that first jumping car. Worked great but always be ready at the other end of the spectrum. Is it undermining or just corporate lack of concern and idiocy.
Do you think ramen is a bad choice? China the worldâs new EV leader is also the world ramen car leader.
Take some shame off Elon.
The VW gave us trouble on Thursday. Some problem lights came on. I decided I was done fixing it. The last repair cost $5400. It was time for a new car. Isa and I had a long talk weighing all the pros and cons of various vehicles. We considered everything but Tesla as I wonât support Elon. An SUV made the most sense as we could haul stuff and put a bike rack on it and so on. An electric made sense to save on gas. We narrowed it down to about 5 candidates. They werenât beautiful but they were very reliable and practical. We had each open in a different browser tab and switched between them comparing each against the others, weighing their strong points against their weak points.
Then I looked at Isa and said âWe are not yet ready to die. Letâs live.â She smiled and said, âI was thinking the same thing.â We bought this today. It was probably a stupid decision but I want to live a bit more before dying.
lol nice story⌠enjoy!
That is a stunning car. What is it?
Itâs just a Mazda Miata. Nothing fancy. Itâs not a Ferrari or anything. lol.
Congratulations, you will get to take lots of fun roadtrips around Canada in it, especially since Trudeau is urging citizens to vacation within your own country.
I donât love road trips but yes, I will certainly enjoy driving it around BC. Honestly, cars like that are fun no matter where you drive them. Just driving around Stanley Park will be fun. Canât wait for spring.
Is is manual or automatic? I donât think they are making new manuals anymore
