I’m having second thoughts about the Stanley. They come way smaller now. If I get a small one from Gooloo, I can actually just permanently carry it in the car.
It would mean buying an air compressor separately. That’s ok though.

Those small compressors with no storage tank always have problems doing the job.
You can just buy a tank and fill it with compressed air from home. That way you don’t have to drain the battery as well.
I agree, Mark, but I need something for when I get home. The car hasn’t moved for a year. I’m assuming the battery won’t start the car and the tires will be flat. I have no outlets down in the parking garage to work with. If this thing can get 20 lbs of pressure in each tire and jump start the car, I can limp it to the dealer.
They sell co2 kits for bikes. I believe they have one for automotive as well. Also you may have to create a seal with the tire inside the rim. Have you see how this is done? They use flame.
You might notice something on your tires if you go to the shop. it is probably from a flame inflate.

I have an amazing solution for that. CAA (you call it AAA in the US). lol. I’m going to jump the car, pump the tires, and limp to the dealer and tell them “make it perfect again”. If anything in that plan fails, I’m going to call CAA and say “tow it to the dealer”.
You don’t need that much. You can probably do it with your wife’s hairspray.
Does your care have a tube inside the tire? If the tire is too deflated you will not be able to inflate it fast enough. You may have to change to a spare or use the flame inflate.
They are heavy and you also have to tote a 50 ft hose around with you.

No, Mark, I am still in Colombia. I fly to Canada in 9 days. I’ll buy it a few days after I land. I have 14 days of quarantine so I booked an appointment at the dealer on Jan 7. As long as I have it before then, I’ll be fine.
Well if you do decide to do it, make sure you dismount the tire and clear it away from any vehicle.

My current thinking is to buy two devices instead of one big one. I think it’ll be better to keep things extremely portable. This booster is so small it can stay in the car permanently, and the air gun is easily small enough to either keep in the car or throw in a backpack as needed.

My 2012 santa fe has its first recall. Ironic since i noticed oil leaking for the first time last week. Really surprised at the recall. I have 143000 miles and it is 8 and a half years old. I’d be amazed if they give me a new engine. That’s what this says. I guess I’ll get a letter late January.
When I first saw that hand held tool, I thought, that will take forever to air a tire but it said 3 minutes. To me, would be record fast, if it’s true. With a dollar, air doesn’t dispense that fast from a convenience store air compressor. Probably made in China.
I like it for several reasons. First, it has 165 reviews with 92% giving either 4 or 5 stars. The 1 star reviews read like they’re from crazy people who can’t make anything work. Second, it’s super portable, about the size of a drill. The Stanley device is like a small suitcase and I wouldn’t just leave it in the car for emergencies. Finally, I like the quick clamp attachment. I’ve always disliked the tedious task of screwing pumps on to the tire thingy. It has one of those if the quick clamp doesn’t work, though.
I think I could order it and the booster while I’m under quarantine, charge them, then on the 7th I’ll just throw them in a backpack, take the train out to my car, and use them to get it driveable.
