What about Virginia? I’ve heard the drivers suck, but they do here too.
Virginia has a hillbilly reputation. It might be totally undeserved. Charlottesville is in Virginia, though, so perhaps not. I don’t know.
I remember meeting a guy with a long white beard in a post office in Ogdensburg, New York 35 years ago who looked like he had just freshly dismounted either a sheep or his sister. Upstate NY hasn’t been appealing to me since then, although I don’t hate it or anything. If I had occasion to go there, I would.
I would say if I can’t live in new England,
Virginia
Arizona
California
California might be the toughest. It seems to be the most expensive and I would have to take my ascp exam over again because they have their own certification. I doubt I would pass the microbiolgy part after 20 years of being out of school.
Tennessee has become more interesting to some, the last few years. I’ve visited it for a week. People seemed friendly, but most people I talked to worked in the service industry (musicians/bartenders/drivers).
What a moronic law. I wonder who he voted for. I’m guessing Bernie.
Rachel Maddow covered this story, too. Ridiculous.
That AG is vile.
In 1995, Rogers was arrested and sentenced to 25 years in prison for burglary and intent to commit theft. He was out on parole May 20, 2004, and his parole was set to end June 13, 2020.
This alone is proof of a totally sick system. 25 years in prison for burglary?
Yes. Everything about it is ridiculous.
I wonder what he stole. Wasn’t even armed. I bet the same people that say that is justified, whine about paying taxes and are too dumb to realize their tax money is spent on shit like this. That doesn’t even take into the morality of it. 25 years.
I go even beyond this as far as rights. If he was serving in jail, I think he should be allowed to vote. Lots of people have done a lot worse, are free and are voting.
Absolutely. Inmates vote here in Canada. They set up polling stations in the prisons.
I think the murder charge is justified, but I wouldn’t argue very hard for it. I’d understand if someone was against. Mostly, because she was walking down the street and took a pill that she obviously didn’t know what it was. She had about 6 drugs in her system.
After raping her while she was either unconscious or dead, they left her face down and stole her purse and phone. Then they lied to police and said they gave her an oxy when it was a lethal dose of fentanyl. If they lied to her about what the pill was, that looks like premeditated murder. Even if the end result wasn’t the intention.
When I was a kid, murder always implied the intent to kill. Everything else was manslaughter, criminal negligence causing death or other such things. I prefer that wording but that’s a detail. These guys are definitely responsible for her death and under the current way of labelling things should be charged with murder. They are also total scumbags.
We are appointed once to die and then judgement. They will receive their just compensation.
More right wing craziness.
Well, this is interesting. Some US sailor destroyed a 4 billion dollar ship with arson.
The Bonnie Dick
I read about that the other day. Terrible waste of a big ass ship. I have faith in the Justice system and if that sailor was playing games snd being irresponsible, they will find him guilty and I’m certain he will pay the penalty.

It’s not easy to protest the event your government created.
