What’s odd about jumping to your death?
Michele, quit quibbling over wording. We got enough of that from Bill Lowerre. It is common to say “we force people to” when their options are limited, even though I admit it is not correct. Nobody forced this guy to jump. That said, society failed to provide him better alternatives and he obviously felt the need to end his life in this fashion. He might have still chosen to do that if he had had other options. We will never know. I would prefer if those other, better options had been available to him.
This bridge is 25 min from here. Looks like it has a pretty high railing though. I’m not sure how easy it would be to die on it.
Probably not that hard if you had someone assisting you. Have you ever walked across that bridge?
Yes, but not for many years. I have no great desire to see it again, but if Isa wants to go, I will take her. I’d rather go see the whales this spring. I haven’t done that for ages.
Whales? Sounds boring. I bet your wife would love to walk over that bridge. Talk about tension!
Boring isn’t the word I’d use.
The bridge is a bit high up for my tastes but whatever. Nobody seems to die on it.
Vancouver is a good place to live.
EDIT: I’m not sure how this ended up in the USA thread but whatever.
not participating in the promotion of awful things doesnt make those things go away
you are my kind since we are all humans but yes its sad that such awful practices still exists in 2023
i would like to see the records of the exact names of those invisible pink flying elephants
every civil society provides plenty of options for people like that, these days there are insititutions and help available for every possible problem people may experience…
beautiful pics but an orca is not a whale despite also be named killer whale, its a member of the dolphin family
Very good.
If I am your kind, you should stop living.
They are invisible. You have to drink vinyl chloride to see them.
now why would i do that?
did that work for you?
with all the air pollution i must have already inhaled lots of that… maybe iam immune to seeing things that are invisible?
Because your kind prays?
Maybe you’re immune to noxious fumes.
thats no excuse to stop living, my kind does a lot of nice and weird and also harmful things but we all have the potential to grow and do better
that could also be the case since exposing people to low amounts of that stuff for a longer period of time would be a logical way to become immune
Or shrink and do worse.
Would you like a glass of vinyl chloride with that?
Have you met your toxic quota today?
cant get much worse than what we have done up till now…
no thanks but cheers
maybe after listening to this once more:
That’s what you think.
No thanks. I never drink and drive.
Ah yes, it has a nice present day vibe to it.
Looks like Jimmy Carter is going to die soon. He’s 98. No president has lived longer.
