True, actually. He has squandered almost a century of goodwill. Almost everyone in the world aside from Israel dislikes the USA today. That’s objectively an incredible accomplishment, one that I would not have thought possible.
Be that as it may be his poll numbers are bad. I like what he says about trans and gays and men playing women’s sports. But he takes bribes and he rapes and he is a chronic daily liar at least 4 a day in public. He said he would really lower grocery prices instead it went up. He covets Canada and Denmark and Gaza the Bible forbids coveting. Like some of his work on abortion. He cheated on all 3 of his wives. His work on the Gaza and Israel conflict has borne fruit. His Ukraine policy uggh just uggh. Glad he jinxed the NYY.

This is exactly right. China is not coming back for the soybeans, even if tariffs are lifted on both sides.
If you’ve been going to the same mechanic forever and he says he’s going to double his prices, you’ll probably go to a different mechanic. If you go to the new mechanic for 6 months and like them, you aren’t going back to the first mechanic if he goes back to his original prices. You’d be thankful for the new mechanic.
I think a lot of these farmers know they’ll never get the exports back and the Trump followers are so stupid they think the farmers can sell them all in the USA. If that was the case, they would have already been doing that.

Yes, that would be stupid. The things you buy today are vastly higher quality than the things you once manufactured in the USA. You can’t fix them when they break, anymore, but that’s a consumer decision. Many companies have tried basing their business model on “buy this, we charge more but you can fix it forever”. Nobody buys. Consumer prefer lower-cost disposable items these days.
