My oldest friend lives in the States, my husbands family still live there … I know there are decent, sensible, intelligent people … but for the life of me I cannot fathom the crazy gun laws, the dismissal of scientific evidence in health care, the dismissal of due diligence and democratic process or why that absolute twat of a man was voted in again … If Trump did get voted in democratically the US DESERVE him. The rest of the world doesn’t because we did not vote an imbecile fucking moron into power, yet we suffer the consequences. When I see all these senators trying to lecture and “gotcha” Bobby Kennedy today all I can think is:
You all support off-label, untested, and irreversible hormonal “therapies” for children, mutilating our kids and enriching big pharma. You’re full of shit and everyone knows it.
- Trump was democratically elected and reelected in free and fair elections. So was George W. Bush. Neither cheated to get in.
- This proves to me that the majority of the US population are morons. Witness the post above mine for more information.
- A large minority, only slightly smaller than the morons, are good and decent people.
- Despite that huge population of good and decent people, the USA is a lost cause. We cannot help them. Their nation will not survive in its current form.
- They are on a stampede back into the stone age and the best we can do is get the hell out of their way, let them kill themselves, and try to help the decent ones as they emerge from the chaos that is coming.
- Mark Carney made a speech today and introduced billions of dollars in new funding to programs designed entirely to remove us from US trade chaos. Our entire country is focused on doing business with ANYONE else.
- China, for all its flaws, is a reliable trading partner. So is the EU. So is South America.
- India, Russia and China all just had a meeting and Trump tweeted that the US had “lost them”. Even the Orange Idiot can see what’s coming.
- The new world is here, and the balance of power will never again be the same.

Trump claims 300 million people died last year from drugs
Donald Trump has claimed that 300 million people died from drugs last year - despite a total of 62 million people dying from all causes worldwide in 2024.
Speaking on Sunday (14 September), the President was questioned on the legality of a strike on a Venezuelan boat which the Trump administration says was carrying drugs, which killed all 11 people on board.
Responding, Mr Trump said: “No, what’s illegal are the drugs that were on the boat and the drugs that are being sent into our country.”
He added: “And the fact that 300 million people died last year from drugs, that’s what’s illegal.”
Mr Trump has claimed that the South American country is sending gang members and drugs to America, which he called “not acceptable”.
