Nobody doubts the US will protect itself. The fear is that some lunatic Republican president will go traipsing off into another insane war halfway around the world with some other nation that has never raised a finger against the US.
I followed this story all day yesterday. People everywhere are really angry over what that officer did. I went to Twitter expecting to see a lot of political posts but it was filled with angry posts about Floyd’s murderer.
I also can’t get it off my mind that Trump keeps calling the whole thing an event but at least he is calling for justice.
Interesting. This Mike Pompeo tweet was about 30 minutes before Trump’s. So either, the president was furious. In which case, the secretary might get fired for that tweet. Or they are trying to play both sides. Much like the coronavirus masks.
