personally i dont think americans produced any “great” paintings but thats a great clip 
I agree. Or at least none that are famous. I find French art to be quite overrated. And south American underrated.

I would say Claude Monet is the most overrated. Blurry lily pads and sometimes blurry ponds.
I think most people realize Jackson Pollock was awful. Possibly USA’s most popular artist. No wonder thinki thinks we suck at painting. Andy Warhol was pretty bad, too. Rothko wasn’t born here, but he probably counts as American. The list weak, admittedly.
