At least they identify as human.
Do you support calling people by whatever gender pronoun they want, Nico? I do, but it would amuse me if you don’t. Free speech and all that, so people should be able to call others whatever they feel like even if the other person doesn’t want to be called that.
free speech has no limits in my book
So which free speech do you choose? If someone asks you to call them by a different gender pronoun, do you do it? I do.
Well, good morning, Master Debater. I trust you slept well.
i think i will usually try to be polite but it can differ, what has been my past experience with that person, how do they ask? what is my mood or the weather like etc etc
Hahahaha. Whatcha gonna do, Nico?
lol yes the scared sheep finally got their silly mandatory mask law in the netherlands as well, do notice its only for public transport and inside some public buildings with many funny exclusions
not sure about nico but for me nothing changes and i will just continue to live my life; if a place requires a mask i will avoid and boycott it
of course most of the shops and most likely all supermarkets will not enforce that law but am sure some will try and force the issue and it will provide some interesting news and court cases and perhaps a quick cancellation of that ridiculous law?
everyone can always say they refuse to wear a mask for “medical reasons” and only more info needs to be given to your own doctor or a doctor appointed by a judge if you lose the case lol but some of the more hilarious exclusions in this new law are:
no need to wear a mask when you are in a church or any other religious building, those that work in or visit a brothel, doctors, caretakers, physiotherapists, those that participate in sports, arts, theatre play, those that practise singing, those that participate in interviews for tv or radio, those that sit down for a long time etc etc
Dutch News says “Face masks will be compulsory in all public buildings, shops, and stations”. Anyway, I hope you get fined. Happy Tuesday!
lies, since for example a church is a public building as well
lol i wont be fined since i would prefer to go to court and/or sit a few days in jail if needed instead
enjoy your tuesday too!
You might be fined. You may not pay the fine (and suffer whatever consequences the Dutch have for people who don’t pay fines), but you might still be fined. This is such an odd hill to die on, Nico, but you often choose the most difficult path.
BTW, I have to quarantine for 2 weeks when I get home to Canada. I’m not allowed out of the apartment at all. That will be harder than wearing a mask in the grocery store.
i see, the spending in jail would be a fine? to me a fine is always related to paying money and instead i would get a couple of paid for victory holidays in a government hotel lol
the most difficult (and illogical) path for me would be not standing up for what i think is right or doing something i dont believe in
why would any sane person care more about what is the easy or difficult path to take instead of what is the right or wrong path to take?
lol you are going to be fined/locked up/forced to be lazy for 2 weeks for wearing a mask… weird world
That’s interesting. You would prefer to wear a mask in a public building over going maskless in a church?
lol thats like choosing to cut off your right or left hand, in which case i would choose neither
lololol
But if you had to choose?
Michele raises an interesting point. Sitting in jail for a day or two may not get you out of wearing masks, Nico. They may force prisoners to wear masks.
in the past i have visited churches and eventhough i dont remember i might already have worn a mask when playing as a kid as well
if i had to choose then i would choose to laugh at the one trying to force me to choose; nobody makes me do anything i dont want to do
sure, someone can give me a shot and sedate or kill me but then it is not me putting on that mask but them…
I’m going to bookmark this comment.
For what it’s worth, I agree with Nico that nobody can make him choose. To me that’s not particularly important. Almost every choice in life has a “default” option that comes into effect if no choice is made or no action is taken. You have the choice between chicken, pasta or not eating. The default is not eating. He’s “choosing” that default by not choosing.
