You support a persons right to die that doesn’t know what they are doing? What kind of sicko are you?
My thought process has evolved in the matter, somewhat. I do support right-to-die for the terminally ill, because it’s merciful.
I do support everyone’s right to life after birth, unlike Republicans. Republicans support everyone’s right to birth, but then they abandon them. To me, life means food on the table, a roof over your head, education, health care, and the love and support of your community. To Republicans, nobody has the right to an abortion, but as soon as the child is born, he’s on his own to live or die as God sees fit and if you disagree you’re a socialist loser.
Yes, I support welfare systems to let people who can’t support themselves live decently.
Not at all. You are describing marriage, which I support. Republicans leave a child to live in poverty, degradation and desperation, with no health care, no chance at a decent education, and no real hope in life. Then they act outraged when the kid grows up to become a criminal.
True.
To some, their life means everything to them. To others, it is a prison. Let each of them choose what to do with their lives.
He dies, or becomes a criminal, as I mentioned before. And then Republicans act all outraged.
Isn’t that a burden on society to a person who supports MAID solely for the mental?
Is that why the black vote went to Trump in 2024?
If people like you are choosing death for them, how are they suppose to choose anything for themselves?
If the mental die it’s because people like you lobby it for them. If they become criminals it’s because the system that produces vaccines that cause disorders, for which there is no recourse to reverse the effects, failed them and all Republicans should be outraged by that and work to reform the system to serve those most in need.
Yes, welfare is a burden on society. It is also our duty, just as it is our duty to look after children and the elderly. We should accept that burden gladly.
lol, Michele, sometimes you are truly funny. More than 8 out of 10 blacks voted for Harris.
This is the normal strawman argument used by those against MAID. Nobody chooses death for anyone aside from the individual who wants to die. Nobody can initiate MAID for another person. No doctor or layman can say “I think that person would prefer to die” and have them killed. Only the patient can request MAID. Nobody else.
This is more strawman nonsense. Nobody on earth wants to criminalize mental illness.
True, but your statement that “the black vote went to Trump in 2024” is not correct.
True, I misread what you wrote. My mistake.
Then you are guilty of what you accuse me of: forcing things on the mentally ill. I want to give them a choice. If they make a “bad” decision because they’re mentally ill, so be it. It’s their life and their choice, to be made with whatever abilities they have to make that choice.
I am also in favour of MAID for children. How in the world is it better to force an 8 year old with terminal cancer to suffer an extra few days in agony when there’s no chance of recovery. I think there should be a lot of extra rules around doing this to children, though, and should only be applied when the child is already very near death.
