That was a great video and one crazy, happy dog.
yes its interesting, the owner experiences the dogs behaviour as excitement and encourages it
i think its probably anxiety disorder and they both could use some behavioral training
Anxiety disorder? Are you referring to the dog because the dog seems fine. If it does suffer from a disorder itâs probably just separation anxiety, which the owner clearly deals with as soon as he comes home.
i was referring to both of them
you think thats normal healthy behaviour?
i see the opposite
Thatâs strange since the owner seems very calm when he unlocks the door and enters the room. He seem to be in complete control.
You mean to tell me that itâs no normal for a dog to be happy to see his master when he arrives home?
What opposite? The owner has separation anxiety that the dog deals with as soon as the owner comes home lol? Come on, thinki. Iâm trying to work with you here but that seems a little foreign to me. Perhaps you should expand on your thought.
the owner uses a âsqueeky voiceâ and seems to enjoy and encourage its behaviour
yes i think its very normal for a dog to be happy to see his master when he arrives home, no i do not see normal happiness
(you didnt answer the question, do you see normal behaviour?)
lol the opposite as in no i do not see that the owner is dealing with the dogs behaviour, he is stimulating it
He walked in the door lol. How is that encouraging overexcited behavior? I can see it triggering that kind of behavior but not encouraging it.
Yeah, and they seem to be happy. Why are you trying to create a disorder out of their play-filled greeting?
If it makes the dog happy and the owner too, what difference, (sorry, I have to do this. Itâs branded into my mind for all eternity) at this point, does it make?
ah so you believe that âsqueeky voiceâ is his normal voice and he didnt use that to excite the dog even more and later on he is forcing himself to talk like other people do? lol
lol weird but ok if you think that is normal behaviour for a dog, how come we dont see all dogs doing that everywhere?
if it would make the dog and the owner happy there wouldnt be a problem but i dont think this behaviour shows a happy dog at allâŚ
the obvious answer is that the dog must be put down.
I didnât watch the video or read the thread but I agree with Will. Put the pit bull down.
I couldnât figure out what you were talking about when you said squeaky voice so I had to go replay the video because I was just paying attention to the dog. In America, we call that baby talk, something I didnât even notice when I watched the video the first time. I donât think the way he talks to the dog is causing the dog to behave abnormally. Lots of people baby talk their pets. Not me. I donât like baby talk.
Yeah, I wondered that too and with a quick search found that they do.
Right. No doubt, the dog is faking it.
You two are cruel. Death comes naturally. How would you feel if the world decided you had to be put down because you served no good purpose or just because the world thought you were an aggressive breed?
If you would act more like Hitler and invest in gene drive research, we could turn that pit into lab. Nevermind. That would take too much effort and we are too mentally lazy here to even consider it. Letâs put it down and while we are at it, we should extinct the whole breed. We can do that ya know. God gave us authority over all the animals.
We should extinct cats too. Cats are very covertly evil. Put them all down.
Agreed.
yes baby talk! lol
of course it does, a dog wants to please their owner and learns by repetitionâŚ
opening the door and the baby talk triggers the dog to act abnormally because thats what makes his master happy
lol bit different but yes also unnatural behaviour triggered by the same âsqueeky voiceâ
Yeah, but itâs a dog, thinki. In this case, the dog has been locked in an apartment all day. Any sound is going to excite that dog. You can see that she is already excited when the owner opens the door lol. Owner says nothing. Maybe the owner should send the dog to obedience school. That responsibility does fall on the owner.
I know there is a little difference. The âunnaturalâ behavior in this video was not triggered by baby talk but by arriving home, something she does every time she walks into her home, according to the owner. I am not advocating for baby talk or âsqueaky voiceâ but I just donât think that causes such behavior.
no its not, a gunshot will likely make it scared
the dog can hear the owner a mile away before they even reach the door⌠its the repetition, last 100 times it paid off to get excited, it made the owner happy
its taught behaviour; the owner is always to blame, a dog will try their best to please and obey their owner
if the dog is sent to obedience school or to any other environment away from that owner it will most likely automatically behave normal
or it will perhaps try once and if properly corrected/shown how to behave, it will likely never do it againâŚ
when it returns to that home with that owner it is almost a guarantee it will do it again
Or hopefully dead.
dear thinkingaboutit
does your dog face north when it poops?
