I think it’s a simplistic thing. You always try to boil down the incredibly complex system that is humanity into a set of simple rules. You can’t. Nothing is absolute.
Making someone else smile can bring joy to your whole day, and making someone sad (even if it was totally justified) can ruin your whole week. Hope is the reason we all wake up in the morning. Well, that and duty sometimes. And now that I think of it, duty is just another word for caring what other people think.

I have no simplistic explanations. I have come to realize there are no absolutes and there are always exceptions. Again, life is not a series of internet memes, as convenient as that would be.

I think symbiosis is the only way for some dogs and some dogs are intelligent enough to realize that. More on my theory later.
Unneutered male dogs seem to be carrying a load of fecal matter in the crotch area. I think this is what they hold for trade for sexual activity. If you notice when dogs are in a heat pack the top male constantly licks at the top of the shoulders of the female in “heat”. There is nothing there but all the fur looks wet like somebody put a scoop of ice cream on the dog. All the dogs tend to look like coats of fur soaked in ice cream and getting extra heavy.
If you noticed when dogs mate they look paralyzed almost like mounted on a stand with wheels. You see the strange phallus appear, several uncontrolled spasms and then it strangely retracted by no control of the dog alone. The dog actually seems quite shocked and terrified of its own anatomy and only liking that it’s body is lactating and producing lots of ice cream like mass.
I think there is something else at play here. I think it is symbiotes and apophallation. A lot of dogs are lazy and just trounce around like a bag of bones sloshing around in ice cream in their outer fur and skin. Even though they make look big and intimidating they have to do little for a bite effect or an erection other than hanging up themselves or aligning themselves in position. You will actually see some very proud and robust dogs and even pedigreed smaller breeds turn away from you when you look at them with that knowledge.
Of course some people pride themselves on dog lineage and “being sired by” as if it is some great work or honor. The dog actually does little work in the act other than hoisting up its weight into position.
People may point and gawk with the “ohhh doggy style!” but they know it is not being accomplished without an unseen third party only manifest by apophallation. They point to the massive and freakish penis and say oh look at the power no argument there, go with it.
A dog may be mating just to get rid of that and be mean and vicious in nature due to its inherent impotent nature and reliance for mating it cannot accomplish on its own. It has to fake its sex drive and its sex. The true “sire” feelings are those of excessive aid and violation.
I’m sure they wish they had sex the other way and hate carrying the apophallation, thus even using mounting to get rid of it.
