That joke was probably the best part of the Olympics. Even moreso, since I spelled her name wrong.
I would be very surprised if Biles continues to compete here. She said she was only competing because everyone else wanted her to. If she wasn’t going to compete for her team, why would she do an individual competition if she doesn’t like gymnastics anymore. Apparently, the fun has been sucked out. I get that. Most jobs are like that . Most of us don’t have the luxury of not working. She clearly does. She can model when she retires. If she needs money. She grew up with no food, so she might not require much to live on.
My guess is she’s worth many millions. If she lives sanely (not even frugally), she can almost certainly afford to go the rest of her life without working. She shouldn’t, though. She’s 24 and could easily hit 100. 76 years is a long time to go waiting to die. Might as well do some stuff in between. Hopefully some stuff that doesn’t involve the limelight.

I rode for the first time in decades not long ago. Fell on the second day. I’ve ridden many times since with no issues. Fell off my motorcycle once and the steel motorcycle boot saved me from an amputation. If you get your ass out there, you sometimes fall and get hurt.
Not if you mount training wheels on back.

I didn‘t care for any sport in the Olympics yet, other watching a few flicks about the German team and individual each winning Gold in Dressage. Guess the only other peek into the Olympics I will do when Military is on. Actually I am very ambivalent regarding professional equestrian sports. At the end the joy to watch the most elegant and beautiful creatures which ever lived on this earth always wins. Especially if you can see, that the horse can‘t wait to start flying. I prefer the Military sport over all other non-equestrian sports, as it also requires bravery from the rider as well as from the horse (beside enorme trust of the horse in the rider).
