Russian womem team suspected of having covid so instead of postponing the game, the Canadian women agreed to play with masks. During the game, the Russians got their negative results and took their masks off. The canadians kept their masks on and won 6-1. Looks like the best american is out for the Olympics. I’ve only watched an hour of the Olympics, but I saw her injury live and thought it was dirty. Nobody complained though.
Looks like her skate is caught and the finn pulls her back horsecollar style. Apparently that was not the case or there would have been a brawl.

Speed skating has to be the dumbest sport ever. Hockey is much better, although I admit I don’t know why it’s better. Both are contrived and ridiculous games played on ice.

USA just beat Canada at men’s hockey, which is really the only sport that matters at this Olympics. We’ll probably get another chance in the medal rounds but things aren’t looking good. USA are now clear favourites for gold.
