Banning removes Bitcoin. Hitting criminals between the eyes who misuse Bitcoin would be considered an improvement upon society in my little circle of people.
Bitcoin/Crypto has no intrinsic value other than to criminals and speculators. Speculators will be free to speculate elsewhere. Criminals will be inconvenienced. Normal businesses who deal in normal world currencies will be entirely unaffected.

The only way I understand this is tokens. I mean tokens for arcade games and similar. Sometimes you put in a dollar in the machine and got 4 tokens. Sometimes you got 5. Sometimes you visited 30 days and you got a free quarter at some places and were expected to spend it there. Other times you got tokens or won tokens. That or tickets. You could use whatever at the facility but only at the facility. For people that visited the facility the tokens had value.
It was like trading a collector’s card for 50 tokens. The tokens had value but only at places that accepted them. Same thing with collector’s card. You couldn’t redeem it anywhere you wanted for just anything.
