I don’t mean to get all serious suddenly but I have to admit I’ve been feeling that way since I arrived. A couple of the border guards in Toronto were great. A couple were evil. Most of the strangers I’ve encountered since then should be euthanized for the greater good, especially the cab driver from the airport who appeared to be a total waste of air.
My friends have been amazing, dropping off Christmas dinner outside our door and so on. One came by with Christmas cookies. Another came by yesterday with ham and cookies. Another brought me some SIM cards so we could have phones. Just very kind. It’s not all bad. It’s just also not all good. People are people.
I owe some strangers some random acts of kindness when I’m let out of this stupid quarantine prison. I can’t change the world but I can make it temporarily seem a bit better for a couple of people.
Sounds like you have a few really charitable friends, Can you imagine what it would be like if every friend dropped off 1 thing? Talk about a humbling experience.
i magine lots of people would be worried about how awful they looked on zoom and that they might be sick…

Oh that’s interesting but I was just thinking how weird that I just googled the bombing over Hiroshima a day or two ago.
I just thought this was interesting because I have this picture but I never noticed that there are no chalices or wine on the table. Neither is Jesus holding the Holy Grail.

A lot of Frankenstein movies have been made. This was very disturbing. The 1974 Frankenstein and Monster from Hell. The characters were frightening. The Asylum director who worse than Pennywise without the make-up. The Monster. The Baron Frankenstein played by Peter Cushing. And of course Shane Briant with all his best looks being hard to watch with the way he looks now.
Knowledge of anatomy seemed to reign supreme here. Even the Brilliant Mathematician with formulas written neatly all over his cell trying to keep his mind but not being able to prevent his brain from deteriorating or even having one processed or worked out practically.
Some things that I found itneresting. The stone and woodwork with all that has been going on here. Then there was the knowledge of anatomy. There was a brain removing scene that almost came across with a smell. Very educational on cutting the 6 optic nerves in the front, 6 cranial nerves on the right and left sides, and the spinal cord. There were so many eyeballs it made it hard to look at people without looking at them for eyeballs or brains.
There was a scene when Baron Frankenstein faces the monster in a trial of combat and it just popped it my head “Sherlock Holmes versus Frankenstein”. I looked it up remembered Cushing played the detective and also found there was a 2019 release with Briant.
Very good. You can’t beat a classic on its own terms.

This looks horrible. I’m glad to see mel Gibson making a comeback. He shouldn’t be allowed to drive but as long as he’s not in jail, he should be allowed to work.
