Went to Cloverdale enjoyed the show saw 5 bands liked the conga line but did not participate that snaked into the crowd kept yawning 5 times in total so bailed around 6 PM. Traded insults with gang members always initiated by them one time outnumbered 7-1 as I exited the facility a female law enforcement officer in a trio of 3 said, " I knew Surrey H.A. wouldnât do anything." Heard lots of insults directed at NAME RETRACTED BY COURT ORDER and Surrey H.A. and Jeremy Dyck. Lots of Bylaw, Genesis Security, RCMP and some SPS at the event. When I drove home saw Jeremy Dyck in front of the Easy Does It building on KGH plain black t shirt chain around his neck ignored by all the others present. We Donât Call 911 was on the bumper sticker of his car but he called SPS on me the violent drug dealer, litterbug and vandal his car seems to have disappeared his sex partner also called the police on me Jill Lucien aka Jill Lucier who died last month of cancer one less âproblemâ for me. Some ppl said he was 86âd from Whalley but then again heard a teen say I was banned from Red Robin which is rubbish. Went to Boston Pizza in Cloverdale for the first time they were busy had the shrimp tacos (not on menu) and mashed potatoes mostly 80% Caucasian customers and all staff Caucasian. My waitress told the people in the booth next to me, âNo H.A. shitâ they left with 3 to go containers the Caucasian female pointing at one of the two children present along with a Caucasian male they drove away in a Black KIA and a older White woman with a silver KIA soon took their old parking spot. Was nice driving around listening to my Over 60 Minutes With Helix CD on Canadaâs 156 birthday. Lots of elected officials on the stage almost all of city council local MLAâs and MPâs. HArley cHAppelle gave a speech he is on the police board and the chief of the Native band in South Surrey/White Rock last two public events I am aware that the organizers wanted a Native speaker they grabbed a Gabriel whose Kwantlen Nation is one of 4 to claim Surrey but the Gabrielâs who spoke live on Macmillan Island. Questions raised after photos surface of Surrey police board member with Hells Angels | Globalnews.ca Video shows HArley cHAppelle with full patch H.A.'s that he posted to social media one did time for selling cocaine while wearing his patch and a pic of his Dad in his colours bad choice by the NDP for police board or was it deliberate? https://groups.google.com/g/van.general/c/EnOKF2IqmDc/m/TzA100KcAAAJ HArley cHAppelle was right next to Mayor Locke on stage today and he was whispering to her quite a bit he supports SPS she RCMP. Lots of good looking women at the show including some seniors and the 14 yr old knock em dead teen girls. Anti Sogi 123 demonstrators around 15 at the entrance to the event mostly Indo and women one White man read their list of 9 demands agreed with all of them told them so and was pleased to see some others entering the event giving them a thumbs up.
Was impressed driving along 32 Ave no litter or grafitti for vast stretches.

A Burnaby-based firefighters motorcycle club that made headlines three years ago after one of its founders posed for a photo with three Hellâs Angels has become the subject of a new feature-length documentary now available for streaming.
The Florianâs Knights Motorcycle Club (named after the patron saint of firefighters) was formed in 2016 and counted active and retired firefighters from Burnaby, Vancouver, North Vancouver and New Westminster among its members.
The local chapter broke up in 2018 amid a flurry of negative media reports and the firing of one of its founders, Burnaby firefighter Nick Elmes.
A photo had surfaced on social media of Elmes posing with three Hellâs Angels, including Kelowna chapter president Damiano Dipopolo, an old neighbourhood friend. (Greg: Damiano for pope he has 8 children so you know he isnât using birth control and anyone who successfully sues Dennis Watson is not all bad. He has stated to the media he is active at his local rcc parish and no one has ever contradicted that.)
Public Safety Minister Mike Farnworth was quoted in a Vancouver Sun story saying it was âdisturbing on so many levelsâ for firefighters to be associating with members of the notorious biker club, and the provinceâs anti-gang agency said biker experts had been documenting the association between the Knights and the Hells Angels at various events that spring.
(Greg: Yet our Public Safety Minister appointed HArley cHAppelle to the Surrey Police Board. What a hypocrite and liar. There are 12,000 Aboriginals in Surrey find another Native for the police board.)
Elmes was fired after a City of Burnaby investigation.
Florianâs Knights, the movie
But it wasnât the furor over the photo that caught filmmaker Panayioti (Pan) Yannitsosâs attention.
He started working with the club before the media firestorm erupted, and what drew him was something much more positive.
He says he was intrigued by the idea of a group of firefighters riding motorcycles to raise awareness about post-traumatic stress injuries and post-traumatic stress disorder among first responders.
He was also intrigued by the idea the Florianâs Knights had essentially formed their own peer support group â filling a void inside the fire service, according to Yannitsos.
âThereâs been a moratorium within the fire service for over 100 years on mental health,â he says. âMany departments around North America havenât felt comfortable to bring this fact of life to the public.â
During three-and-a-half years of work on his film, which includes interviews with motorcycle-riding firefighters in New York, Detroit and Toronto as well as in the Lower Mainland, Yannitsos also became aware of another intriguing concept: wind therapy.
The phrase has long been used to describe motorcycle riding, and Yannitsos learned firefighters across North America and elsewhere around the world use it to cope with their mental health struggles.
In the film, he points to research conducted at UCLA that supports the idea of riding as an effective form of therapy.
âThe motorcycle is my medicine,â retired Vancouver fire battalion Chief Rod MacDonald says in the documentary.
MacDonald is one of four former Lower Mainland Florianâs Knights who appears in the film. The others are Elmes, retired North Vancouver fire Captain Erik Bjarnason and New Westminster firefighter Bill Shokar.
In an interview about the movie posted online, MacDonald says he knew he was âdamaged goodsâ when he retired after more than 30 years as a Vancouver firefighter.
One powerful scene in the documentary shows MacDonald marking a map of Vancouver with the locations of particularly disturbing calls he attended, including the scene of a car accident where a man had been decapitated.
MacDonald said he went into seclusion after retirement and the world was âgetting pretty darkâ before he found the Florianâs Knights.
âI have a feeling that they saved my life,â he says in the film.
âLight at the end of the tunnelâ
While the Lower Mainland Florianâs Knights disbanded after the negative news reports in 2018, a new chapter in New York City continues to thrive today.
The New York firefighters found the Burnaby-based club online in 2018 and decided to form their own chapter shortly before the Lower Mainland group broke apart.
Yannitsosâs documentary features a meeting between the two clubs at the September 11 Memorial in Manhattan.
While the film addresses the Burnaby Hells Angels controversy â including interviews with a retired Vancouver Police Department outlaw motorcycle gang unit officer who describes the Hells Angels as a violent, drug trafficking organization and ânothing you ever want to get close toâ â its focus remains the mental health struggles of firefighters.
Yannitsos says he and his film crew spent time sleeping in fire halls and twice, in Toronto and Detroit, followed 24-hour shifts, filming every call.
He says they earned the firefightersâ trust, and the result is a uniquely raw portrayal of their working lives and mental health struggles.
âFirefighters are being shown their profession in a way that theyâve never seen before, that theyâve only experienced and canât communicate to their families,â Yannitsos says.
Since its release in September, the documentary has been shown in 40 markets, and Yannitsos says the response has been âoverwhelmingly positive,â as reflected in hundreds of emails, messages and face-to-face comments from first responders.
When asked why he thinks the film has sparked such a response, he says it comes down to hope.
âI think because we came in through the lens of healing,â he says. âMy objective wasnât to come in here and blow the whistle on PTSD and how horrible the world can be. My objective was to show that there was light at the end of the tunnel.â
Florianâs Knights is now available on all streaming platforms for purchase at home.
