I would advice the West to totally support Israel in defending it‘s borders exactly how they are doing it right now, as they still - contrary to their enemies - target mainly military used locations and individuals and their enemies will misunderstand any other language than force/violence as weakness. It‘s not possible to not hit also civilians, if Hamas etc. use facilities also used by civilians. I don‘t blame the Israelis in that cases.
But, at the same time, the West needs to finally connect this support with the errection of a Palestine state which acknowledges the right of Israel to exist in it‘s current borders and kicking the Israeli settlers out of that area.

A two-state solution is not the solution. Cutting off all weapons to Gaza would have been a solution but Palestinians are attached to their weapons and Persia, through U.S. assistance under Obama and Biden, has a lot of currency to work with now.
