Ikea

I went to Ikea just now. For the first time ever in my life, I stopped at the restaurant. We had three vegetarian hot dogs and two Nordic Sweet Waters (whatever those are). Total bill $5. For my whole life I’ve heard people talk about the restaurant at Ikea. Now I understand why.

What’s a vegetarian hotdog?

That just looks nasty. Whats in it?

I had to google: The veggie dog is made from kale, red lentils, quinoa, onion, carrots, and spices like ginger and turmeric. It’s topped with pickled red cabbage, spicy mustard, and roasted onions.

It’s quite good. Nothing I’d drive across town for but it only costs a dollar. It’s probably the best thing I’ve ever eaten at that price.

Your water cost was more than your dog?

Three dogs, two Nordic Sweet Waters, each cost about a dollar. We both left quite full for $5.

PS: The Nordic Sweet Water is just fountain pop, but with interesting flavours.

…and 54 carbs probably. Sounds delicious.

14 carbs. Not as bad as I expected

I like it. I usually don’t believe people anyway.

That’s probably why people don’t believe you.

Do you like the sofa, Michele?

No. They should put no one cares on the other pillow.
