If you use it for a light tapping or for laying it onto the horses body to apply some light pressure, then I consider this not as abuse. Same when walking a dog on leash. Itās impossible to keep the leash loose all the time. Eventually there comes the moment, the dog is pulling (for example because he sees a deer or rabbit and wants to chase it). You need to apply force to keep the dog at place. Is that abuse too already for you?

Btw, I have extended family in Houston that break, train and perform with horses like this. They have posted video of some shows on FB. Itās really incredible and amazing to watch the way they communicate and perform together.

As I already said, due to the anatomy, a horse can carry more than many other animals, including dogs. Dogs, especially large breeds, for example often suffer from disc prolapse. How often did you hear about disc Prolapses of a horse? Very rare.
