Yes, all is well here. I’m not doing the double life anymore. We live in Canada these days, but travel a lot. Guatemala, El Salvador, three trips to Colombia, two trips to Toronto, and one to Montréal, all in the last year. I really prefer South America to just about everywhere so I go there more than Europe or Asia. I never travel to the US these days, and won’t until the Obese Orange Orangutan is out of office.
AI is changing my life. I’m sitting here at 60 more productive than I ever was at 30 because I have mastered getting AI to code for me, which itself is a complex skill. I’m working on some amazing projects, stuff that I could never have tackled alone, stuff that I’m proud of, which is a nice place to be. I’m still doing research projects for clients to pay the bills, though. I enjoy those, too, so really I’ve managed to build a fairly idyllic life. Still, I expect I’ll be fully obsolete in about 10 years.
Still married amazingly and things have never been better on that front.
Planning to buy a boat this coming spring, but the last boat sucked most of that joy out of me. They say the happiest days of a boater’s life are the day he buys it and the day he sells it. Believe it or not, the only reason I want a boat this time is to play with radios on it. lol.
Health is good, or at least decent. I have my share of issues and take a lot of pills but I’m still walking a few km every day and still staying up until 2 am working. Weight has been stable at 80 kilos for a few years. Nothing life-threatening on the near horizon. It isn’t perfect but it could be so much worse.
BBAD is the same. Everyone has the same opinions they had the last time you visited. Mark visits in spurts and I think you just missed his last spurt. He hates me very intensely these days. Gunda is being polite to me which is pleasant. Nico is still crazy but I agree with him about the Pedophile President so I click like on most of his posts. Michele is still dancing with both Jesus and Trump. Dan is still annoyingly nice. Daniel, that weird German guy, disappeared a few years ago. I think Kyaela is dead, seriously. I snooped her real name on the Internet a few months ago and got nothing. I’m guessing, of course, but I can’t imagine her not coming back to tell me what an idiot I am occasionally if she was still alive. Bill Lowerre announced he was dying and disappeared, so I assume he’s dead too. He had become very bitter in his last few years. I hope he found peace in death, if he’s dead.
Ok that’s all I can think of. Tell us everything.

Reg, Thanks for the update. I am really happy for you, life sounds amazing, you sound healthier and happier at 60 than you were at 40!
I can’t believe it was that long ago when we were all having an odd virtual life on Park Bench!
Sad about Kyaela … I heard Grizz man 2 is also dead, wasn’t really sad about that demise

I’m doing well, still married too, eleven years already. Probably one of my better life changing choices. My partners older, so I decided to retire and have NOT regretted it once. At the end I was stuck in a spreadsheet writing clinician documentation nudges for AI and I hated that part of the job, felt like I was going insane.
We travelled last year, which ended up pear shaped, my partner had a major medical incident, luckily we were in the UK, he received great care and is doing okay. If we can get the all clear to travel next year, that’s the plan. I have an old friend escaping from Trumpistan for 3 months and staying with us, so I’ll do some travel with her.
My kids have turned out decent people, credit to them.
I hate what is happening in the world, the far right is loud and proud in Australia. We had anti immigration marches and they just trashed an indigenous sacred site and beat women up. Wtf, really. The ignorance of how dangerous these bastards are is terrifying. Depresses me.

Saw on IG a Nazi guy being arrested in Australia on Independence Day. Tommy something seemed to be a leader.
Hyundai plant in Georgia was just raided 475 illegal workers detained 300 of them from South Korea Thé plant only employs 1,200. Biggest bust of illegal workers at one site in Trump’s second term.
Here in Canada 137,000 have been ordered by the govt deported but they barely kick out 18,000 a year. David Eby the socialist NDP Premeir of BC says that the Temporary Foreign Worker program needs to be scrapped. He says that employers are filing false paperwork saying they can’t find local Canadian workers. But he did not name any of these alleged lying business people. The federal Conservative leader says scrap the TFW ( never mentioned that last election ) except for the agriculture sector. Govt here said only 85,000 TFW’s would be allowed this year already 115,000 here by Aug.
