When you say associate you with that, what do you mean?
We are just stupid humans and we are, in fact, already forgiven.
You have to ask for it so that you acknowledge your own shortcomings. If you are not flawed, no forgiveness necessary nor is there a need to ask.
If you had one hundred sheep, and one of them strayed away and was lost in the wilderness, wouldn’t you leave the ninety-nine others to go and search for the lost one until you found it? And then you would joyfully carry it home on your shoulders. When you arrived, you would call together your friends and neighbors to rejoice with you because your lost sheep was found. In the same way, heaven will be happier over one lost sinner who returns to God than over ninety-nine others who are righteous and haven’t strayed away!

If we aren’t forgiven beforehand, why does God say He will leave the 99 to go find the one lost?
it means i do not wish to be associated with such behaviour
we are all perfect and flawed in someones eyes, i do not believe someone has to ask for forgiveness before they can be forgiven by someone, to me thats egotistical blackmail
i do not believe any god said that nor that any god exists without the imagination of humans so i have no clue why
