Good Sports Day

omg lol.

That will be awful for those unfortunate enough to watch, a group that won’t include me.

EDIT: Oh, I didn’t read the next post. Well, that concert will still be awful.

I am actually watching a few innings (although I may stop soon as I don’t enjoy baseball). Toronto was up 3-1 when I started and scored 2 more so it’s now 5-1. I can’t believe how many commercials there are. Irritating.

EDIT: 6-1. Way too many commercials. I might give up but there are only 1½ innings left so I’ll try to stick it out.

EDIT: That’s how it ended. Toronto played well. Twenty minutes of baseball this century for me. I doubt I’ll spend any more this year but if I have nothing to do when Game 6 is on, I might play it in the background like I did today.

The rookie pitcher on Toronto struck out 12 last night. He’s also the reason the Yankees are out. He now has more postseason starts than regular season. He started the year in single A pitching in front of 300 people. Now, he’s trying out Shohei.

I’m not sure I’d want to be Shohei. He doesn’t seem to be able to do anything without an entourage.

I wouldn’t want to be any professional athlete. Their artificial significance is reinforced by adoring fans and unthinkable money. It would be impossible to retain perspective. So few of them are happy. I’m not sure you can be that competitive and still be happy.

I just read the Blue Jays lost. I’m so bad at following sports. lol.

They sort of got screwed. I didn’t really care who won.

NYC Marathon was today. A few days ago ICE was able to drag a 67 year old US citizen out of his car because he didn’t move his car fast enough. He had been practicing 4 months for the NYC marathon. They were able to break 6 of the man’s ribs and prevent him from running.

Horrifying video emerges as ICE agents break NY marathon runner’s ribs after race practice - The Mirror US https://share.google/Zv54NapzBic26lacJ

I am almost certain this isn’t normal but the players make it look normal.

They look European. Enough said.

I had no idea that was happening. It obviously didn’t raise their profiles that much.

No it didn’t. All it did was show how superior the men’s game is. My guess is she was allowed to hit the doubles lines. My guess is she could not return against him. The men put much more spin on the ball.

The pats have a chance to win the superbowl. Final 4.

Will ICE kill anyone during the world cup?

It must be truly awful to be famous. I say that seriously with no sour grapes at all. Just horrible to be endlessly disturbed with everyone wanting something of you. I go out and nobody wants anything of me. Nobody even knows who I am. It is vastly better. I love it.
