My ears hurt now.
It looks like goose bumps on the water. Gives me chills lol. It is a nice view though.
Iâm not sure itâs worse but I have never heard anything like that. WellâŚmaybe it was. She destroyed the anthem. Humiliating. All I could hear was screaming when she tried to hit the high note.
You know sheâs admitting herself into a rehab and I support that. Sheâs going to need a lot of counseling to cope with all the trauma she suffered from the spectators and probably what she may suffer moving forward. I kind of feel sorry for her over what sheâs going to face because of her performance. Failure is difficult enough but in front of hundreds of people magnifies painful humiliation and Iâm sure that was devastating for her.
reminder: dont forget that, although he opening ceremony will be on friday, the olympics start today! (only football and rugby)
nice football match to start the olympics! :
morocco vs argentina
morocco was 2-0 in front (2nd goal was a penalty gift)
then argentina came back to score 2-1 and then the referee decided to add 15 minutes!!! extra timeâŚ
then it appeared argentina scored 2-2 in the last 2 minutes of that extra time but right after that many supporters came on the field and the match was discontinued
video referee took another look at the goal and it was decided to be offsite and the official end result is 2-1 morocco wins! lol
I partly watched the opening ceremony but only, because there was nothing else interesting to watch. I liked the national anthem scene and the background stories about the new female statues revealed. Nice, they put it into the cetemony, especially as itâs not spectacular for tv. Anyway, what I totally disliked was the dancing and the costumes and makeup, regardless which music and dance style they performed. But admittedly I never liked the provocative and avantgarde style or however it is named what they weared in clothes and makeup. As most Opening scenes, overall it was rather boring. The more I am surprised this morning to read nearly only positive critics. Only by some AfD politician I read some negative post about something I missed due too my several switches: Allegedly there was a scene with transvestites recreating the christian Last Supper. No idea why they did that, but it was pretty stupid to do this in an Olympia Ceremony. At the other side, there are innocent civilians and Ukrainian soldiers dying at the moment with incredible damages and danger for the West. And the West focuses on Sport. Thats what I find a real reason to be upset.
boring? lol i guess in a way since its always a bit too long but i thought it was very nice; was kinda refreshing to see them change things up a bit combining the show with the introduction of all the participants in the boats while showing off what france is about via dance and music and that mystery dude with the olympic flame jumping through and over buildings celebrating french culture and its architecture and then that eiffel tower lightshow⌠quite impressive
pity about the rain but it didnt ruin the party and hopefully not too many athletes will get sick because they foolishly decided to stand there for hours lol then again our dutch athletes were smart and left early so more chances for us to get medals i guess
lol the music and dancing was mostly great (didnt care for lady gaga and some other weird acts) but the main 80-90âs disco/dance revival theme celebrating life and diversity was fun (am sure they did that especially for reg lol)
They are Europeans and want to show European culture, and so showing the Last Supper as a trans party with homos kissing and Jesus as an obese tattooed white woman is appropriate. Europe is lost. Disgusting and lost.
lol the real lost ones are those that actually believe a jesus existed in the first place and those that complain about this;
surely if he did exist wouldnt he be participating in exactly such an orgy as was portrayed?.. promoting and celebrating diversity and love?
I didnât complain about it, Nico. I said it was appropriate for Europeans to do this given your culture and its norms.
lol sure sure⌠and excellent, then there is hope for you yet!
oh and btw, that naked blue dude was supposed to be the greek god dionysus not jesus lol
Others disagree with that.
At the center was an ornately dressed woman with a large silver headdress that resembled a halo as depicted in paintings of Jesus. She smiled and made a heart shape with her hands as her peers stared down the camera before breaking out in a choreographed routine.
Even if it was DionysusâŚ
The disgusting tattooed obese white and possibly trans woman in a blue dress only made me aware of the absurdity of Europeans, nothing else.
lol yes of course not everyone can tell the difference (even when they are told who it is during the performance) but thats logical since christians stole almost everything from other religions (or at least what was popular to gain more souls)
yes i agree they could have made things a bit more clear by making that naked blue dude and his followers destroy some weapons while yelling stop the war in ukraine and free palestine, but then a few more would complain lol
oh and btw, that naked blue dude was supposed to be the greek god dionysus not jesus lol
Then this scene wasnât copying Leonardos favourite painting about The Last Supper?

Obese and/or trans women (and men, lol) exist everywhere. The difference to Western-Europe is only, that they dare not to show their transsexuality and/or obese body out of fear. Or are you really that ignorant to believe they arenât born with it but that itâs only a choice?
Europe is lost. Disgusting and lost.
You mean compared to the autocratic and highly oppressed places on earth like the Middle East or even China and Russia, where not just being non hetero is opressed and even have to fear for their health and life, but everyone who wants equal rights for all people, regardless which religion, gender, sexual orientation and race? I am happy, thankful and proud to have the luck to live in Europe today. Theres nearly no place I rather would be instead. Except New Zealand, Tahiti or any nice marine sunny island, lol.
Depicting the Last Supper with a bunch of homos and an obese tattooed white person as the leader (Nico says itâs Dionysus and I donât want to argue that as itâs irrelevant who it was supposed to be) is ridiculous and absurd, and perfectly reflective of modern European culture.
Well, I already said that this was stupid. If they already want religion to criticise on this platform, then they at least also should include others too which are part of the French society these days and which oppress them. But they chose the easy way to catch the light on their case. In my humble opinion, it doesnt do them anything positive. Rather the opposite. Thats why I think it was stupid.
This disgusting European performance wasnât stupid at all. It was perfect. It was exactly reflective and representative of European values.
Nobody has any reason to fear for their lives due to their sexuality in Europe, but despite that letâs take something sacred to a huge number of Europeans and mock it using imagery that is incredibly offensive to them. But letâs not dare to say anything about Islam or Judaism or other religions because thatâs hateful, even though Muslims actually kill homos, unlike Christians.
Letâs also take what used to be beautiful European imagery and uglify it with obese tattooed pigs, vulgar public sex acts, and general perversion.
Perfect. Europe in 2024. Ein Hoch auf uns auf dieses Leben.
Then this scene wasnât copying Leonardos favourite painting about The Last Supper?
looked like it to me
Nico says itâs Dionysus
its the olympic organisation that said so, personally i would find it more amusing if they did try to mock christianity
Letâs also take what used to be beautiful European imagery and uglify it with obese tattooed pigs, vulgar public sex acts, and general perversion.
lol i think thats only in your head; it has always been like this
