Good. They had announced a few days ago that they’d decide in a month. I much prefer this. Settle it.
I watched several sumo matches last night on youtube. Apparently stables are kept very healthy. The wrestlers are looking very healthy but a lot are looking kind of off as far as performance and physique.
Sumo wrestlers look obese. Extremely ugly.
They look like frogs in a tank when you throw in live feeders.

Some look obese. I am watching some smaller sumos competing in the low 200’s against muchh heavier weights. One particular wrestler is going heads up and is very entertaining to watch, not just the usual boring tactics of lower weight wrestlers. Being smaller and lighter but having a greater weight a lower center gravity is entertaining to watch. Not just smaller and lighter or smaller version.
Some boxers look fake. Not all but some look really fake.
It’s interesting how many people are trying e-sports. F1 is trying to keep people interested with that. Horse racing just ran a virtual Grand National race.
I have no interest at all, myself. If the world moves to e-sports, I’ll be one of the holdouts living in the more conventional version of reality, while not operating under any delusion that my reality is more real than that manifested in e-sports or other video games.
Tell us, Reg. In your “conventional version of reality” how many players are there?
If I recall correctly, 20 in F1, 6 in ice hockey, 12 in Canadian football, 11 in US football.
That’s a lot of players, Reg. Must be nonstop, round-the-clock entertainment for you.
I don’t really care about sports these days. I read who won the F1 races but rarely bother to watch one. I don’t even read who won with the other sports. I have no idea who won the last Superbowl or the last Stanley Cup and obviously don’t care.
Chiefs won the Super Bowl.
Well if you don’t enjoy sports anymore, what are you taking interest in? Video games?
I’ve never been interested in video games. I lose to my phone at chess a few times a week.
I am still interested in sports stories, strangely. The issue of trans people in sports interests me. Whenever something unusual or controversial happens in sports, I am often interested. I just don’t care which person or team wins most of the time.
I went through a Zelda addiction once. It was much like our phones today. I would hate to lose my phone more than anything else.
I remember it well.
I do not miss sports. Unfortunately, I do not play video games.
The hospital has mandated all workers wear masks. I wish I could make my own. I might have to wear a headband under it. This is an awful mask. The mask I had been wearing was so much more comfortable.
Interesting sports story, mostly interesting in that it shows how completely owned sports stars are. They are slaves. Incredibly well paid slaves, but slaves. One slip and it’s over.
Also the Tour de France was rescheduled. This is a big deal in Colombia as Egan Bernal is the favorite to win (and defend) the title.
