A song about his Mum. I have similar feelings of thankfulness and respect for mine. She is the strongest person I personally know. Takes care for everyone, despite not everyone in our family deserves her immense support which meant nothing less than to give up herself - because she didn’t want to leave us children. She’s my hero and the society/politics treats mothers like her, who worked and sacrificed more than anyone of my and the younger generations, as if she is worth nothing.
I was lucky for having parents letting me learn an instrument, if although the akkordeon instead of trumpet. But I wanted to play an instrument and so I agreed. But the taste of my teacher (and my parents) was a different one regarding music. I mainly got sheets of stupid, funny stuff. While I longed for the ones in moll. The heavy stuff. The wonderful stuff. Like this old german folk song.
P.S.: I still see that nice little trumpet lying upon the high cupboard, imposdible for me to reach. Never heard anyone play. Admittedly it only lied there for a very short period. I need to ask my mom.
We need some Schlager music. It’s been awhile. I like those dance moves the girls are doing, sort of like 70s disco. They look good so who cares how they dance. lol.
Heard this song on thursday morning on Bayern 2. Great sound, rhythm and even greater lyrics. A song to relax but not without switching off the brain. And I love the music.
Very funny lyrics and I can so relate to (“Ah cool, das wuerd ich gern verpassen.”, Most kids simply find meetings with relatives, especially only adults, where you just sit the whole time, plain boring. At least our meetings on sundays were boring. Not like in this song, though. That’s not boring but terrible, lol.
