We had a similar discussion when I posted my trip to the Butchart Gardens in Victoria. Nico commented something like how fake it looked.
He’s right, although fake can be pleasant (and was that day). Still, it can’t compare to the “real” Canada, untamed, with no groundskeepers in sight.
PS: Gunda, do you realize the lifestyles these Instagram people create are totally fake, and they live disgusting lives where every moment lived is just a desperate search for another content-creation opportunity?

I doubt she extra moved from LA to Georgia and went country style, be active in stray cats rescue for years and keeping two goats etc., only as a fake to post on insta.
There is also nothing disgusting I could find about her motivation and actions.
Of course I get that insta just like all medias serve a marketing purpose. But I doubt that what Tricia does is just for that purpose and is just fake. No one who is no country person would move alone to rural Georgia. No one who doesn‘t like flying with G-Force would enter a F16.

It‘s funny you criticize Tricia Helfer for what she does and how she lives her life, while you have to troll people and Reggie needs to control women and yet tries to justify it by claiming he wants best for them.

lol. You have the right to that opinion, but I certainly don’t share it. I think I lead perhaps the best life on Earth.
When I sold the data center, I realized I no longer cared about money or prestige or even about changing the world. Part of that is because I failed at those things, no question, but I had also finally realized how irrelevant all of those things were.
I moved to a small village and lived modestly but comfortably, and was truly happy for the first time in my life. Since then, we’ve lived in Medellín, came back to Vancouver during Covid, and have continued to live modestly but comfortably, with very little excess, stress or need. I not only don’t live for Instagram likes, I don’t go on Instagram at all. Even on Facebook, I unfriend anyone I haven’t met, and I post perhaps once every three months just to remind people (mostly long-distance family) that I’m still alive.
Gunda, anyone who posts their life constantly on Instagram (or Twitter or wherever) is desperately insecure and needs approval from others. You may not see that but I and many others do, and we live sanely, privately but not obsessively so, and quietly.
Reggie, I never ever judged anyone about how much money someone makes. Especially you should know that. Good for you if you came to your senses at least on that one thing.
You plastered your still inflated ego all along your private website. With all of your opinions and convictions about God and the world and whatever bullshit more you thought is so important for everyone to know. Maybe you shut that down meanwhile, as I haven’t looked on it since the last 15 years if not more.
So, yes, people who post on the internet in general may suck, some more, some less, people on this platform included. But you are the last person who is morally in a position to judge. Treat your wife with equal respect first instead of being so insecure to feel the need to control her, just like you always felt about women. Then you can wear the label „feminist“ justly and proudly.

I don’t think she sucks. I think she’s flawed and insecure, and I find her lifestyle repulsive. I don’t judge her at all. It is her right to live for likes and I don’t disturb her. I am just more aware of what she is than you are.
