Poor ol’ Ky, I am thinking good thoughts for her whereabouts.
Her health was failing. She had spent the last several years living in her car and leeching wifi from grocery stores. She was facing losing the only job she had held for years. I am not telling any tales out of school. She told everyone this here in public.
I mean this with total respect, although it may offend some. If the only hope was another 30 years of that before dying alone in a cheap room somewhere, much better to go peacefully now. I am hopeful of a comfortable retirement and I’m loving my life. If that changes, and it might in a flash, and I’m facing a few decades of hardship, loneliness, pain and eventual death, I’d just as soon skip the first three.
I hope Kyaela’s pain has ended. Ideally, it would have ended by her recovering from her problems both mental and physical, and finding some level of prosperity, stability and love. If not, well, I hope her pain has ended.

That’s well put, Reg. I agree regarding skipping the first three (hardship, loneliness, pain…) that’s not living. Sad to hear Ky’s story. I had no idea. We exchanged lots of pleasantries but never really engaged on a deeper level.

why not stop feeling sorry for yourself and make something of your life? no matter how short of a time you have left, you can do it, there is help and good people available if you look for it, you still can give plenty of joy to yourself and others

Suicide help lines are false advertising. They won’t help you suicide. They’ll try to talk you out of it. Can you imagine if you called a tech help line and they tried to talk you out of using your phone?
