Great song. I love a lot of Mellencamps music. A pity he sucks at concerts.
The summer I met Dusty, this was who he was listening to and Cherry Bomb was his favorite song.
Love that typical Springsteen piano sound in the beginning. But the tempi of the rest of the song is too slow.
This later version is much better in tempi. Sound quality too. But the nice piano intro is missing. Well, you canât have everything.
I love that song. A pity they only play the same three songs on the radio when playing him. But never songs like this.
Listening to this song reminded me on a picture I recently made of Regensburg on my way to work. I am lucky to be able to live here and I hope I may be able to live in the little house with garden for good.
Thatâs a gorgeous place, Gunda.
A feel good summer song. I fell in love with this song watching The Big Chill.
This song is from 1972. Never heard it before. You can hear his heavy folk influence. But man, he could tell a story also back then already, lol. Love the melody, if it also takes a minute for me to get into it. Itâs a gem. Wonder why he never released it on an album.
Above song really grew on me, the more I got into itâs melody. It were the lyrics which captured me first. But now I totally love both (and Springsteenâs both rough as well as soft and sympathetic voice of course). I like the calmness and peacefulness.
But itâs monday and time to get awake.
Now some songs which got arranged too much for that they nearly reached a stadium of sterility. They are different to the Springsteen sound I love the most - but still nice enough for that I love them as well.
What do you want me to be? Christ-like without Christ? Mold me then. You are the Creator here.
First, this is a gorgeous song. Second, if a fairy would visit me and grant me a wish, then I would wish all people would abide by the Golden Rule. But living as a human is such complicated that I believe even a fairy would have a tough time.
A watercolor I did years ago of Zulu warriors at a demonstration. From a photo in Life magazine.
Sorry about quality of camera photo. The Canon would do better.
Wonderful, Will! They used to call Johnny Clegg the white Zulu. These days theyâd say he was culturally appropriating and condemn him.
Wow. That is so much better than my chess board table.
Lol Dan. Apples and oranges. Thank you.
