I now did listen to many of the songs by Sleeping at Last. Not all are great musically, but the lyrics usually are and so I appreciated most. But I have a favourite and that’s this one here. It’s outstanding and means a lot to me.
For the last two months or so, this is another song I likely get to hear on some radio channel on my 20 minute car drive to work.
Also mindless, but fun. Especially after this work week, in which my project startet, but actually I am already by now in the very mood for having quite a few cocktails. At breakfast, lol. All those meetings, ugh. I really like that song, lol.
I wonder why this guy or any person to begin with, likes to have dread locks. They aren‘t clean and totally not sexy to touch. Well, the latter is subjective, just as their look. But it’s so not my cup of tea. But I dislike long hair generally on men. But dread locks are even worse, on both men and women.
Lol, this song brings even fun to a baseball game.
Awwww, Kyra Sedgwick (from that funny The Closer series) and her hubby Kevin Bacon. Are those pigs or dogs following them, lol? I think pigs, lol. I love it. I knew they lived on the countryside and on an old farm. I just didn‘t know how farmlike it is, lol. Great couple.
I am so glad this project Kick-Off week is over. In two weeks there is a 3 days of knowledge building and then the actual work finally can begin and work is rather back to normal. This weekend I will only sleep, spend time with my neglected pets and sleep again. The rainy weather prognosed for the whole weekend comes in handy. No bad conscience for being lazy and staying inside.
On one of my morning drives to work this week, some radio channel blessed me with this song by Gianna Nannini. Italy with its beautiful architecture, art and landscape, this song brought the breeze of spring and summer to me. She has no feminine voice, but I nevertheless like her unfeminine husky voice. It‘s actually a huge part of why her songs are that popular. Italy. Will likely not see you anymore, but my memories of you are still very vivid.
Why would you say you won’t see Italy again? It is so close. Surely you can visit it again if you wish. And it sounds like you love it.
Because as much as I like to dream of driving to Italy and France or up north, I also know already that I will feel regret while doing it and feel the urge to have a calm, relaxing stay at home. Hard to explain.
Why would you drive? My road trip days are probably over, too, although an annual week long road trip to Vancouver Island still seems like it will be part of our lives for a few more years. Still, if I lived in Germany, one of my favourite things would be to take short jaunts to everywhere in Europe on the various cheap airlines you have. You have the amazing freedom of Schengen. It seems odd not to avail yourself of it.
It’s always a weighing up between two nice things: Destination or dogs? And my dogs always win. Because I never would go without my dogs. I couldn’t enjoy even the most beautiful spot. It must be similar for parents leaving their child at home by grandparents, lol. My dogs are way more important to me than to go to different countries for vacation. Hard enough I would have to leave my cats behind, but cats aren‘t so focused on their owners as dogs. Therefore my conscience but also my soul would not suffer as much.
I need to buy groceries and thanks to Gianna Nanninis husky voice, I will also put some bottle of cheap red Rotkäppchen Sekt into my basket. Plus some frozen berry mix to pour into it for tonight. I already forgot I wanted to get drunk on the weekend. Thankfully her husky voice reminded me right in time, lol.
I remember once you told me Umberto Tozzi looks like a mist. lol. I like this song.
