Thats why I love listening to Bayern 1 when driving to work. It was still freezing and I hurried to make my car ready to start (have no garage). Nowhere else on my radio I would hear such a nice old song from the 70ās. And all the stress changes into a smile.
Coming from the Gym heading to work, and the next feel good song kicks in. Life is good.

PS: I still like Mouskouris version best by far. Mellencamps version is nice, but mediocre and boring.
Funny. I read that very book which inspired Sting to this song. But I disliked it (that book I mean, lol). Maybe I was still too young to understand it, as I probably was in my early 20s. Or it were the drugs I never took, which made that difference. Or itās the different perspectives we had, as I never considered myself as a traveler, contrary to him. I always only was a tourist.
