They are intense and unless you e ever experienced that kind of relationship, you don’t really know what you would g doo but thanks for your expert advice.
I believe he wanted to make it work out and he probably would have done anything to convince himself it could work if he just stayed with it and given her time to grow because I believe he cared deeply for her. He just hated the things she said when she got drunk.

I fully agree with you, Michele. I guess you don‘t need to have experienced such a situation by yourself but simply the fact that suchs killings and sometimes also suicides by the killer isn‘t that rare.
PS: This is btw. also another reason for a rigid ban of fire arms. It’s not as easy to kill someone with a knife.

The word „Brauner“ is used for a certain colour of a horse (bay horse), but stands here as a synonym for „horse“.

Yes, but that German idiom isn‘t meant to insult but to calm someone down who - like in your case - jumped way too far by claiming I would support the killing of an abuser in cold blood. In self-defence I don‘t mind at all but would applaud in support. This being said, not every case is the same. If both behave stupid and abusive, then I might not support such a killing generally. I would have to know more details.
