I have no stats but I am quite sure the number of hand-deaths pales in comparison to the number of gun-deaths each year. If we ever develop a serious problem with hand-deaths, we can deal with it then. Right now we have a serious problem with gun-deaths.
Sure. Strangulations are too much work since the advent of the gun. Insanity has always existed. Taking guns away will not stop the killings but Gods Word would.

Much easier to kill with a gun in so many ways. It is not easy to kill someone with a knife. Physically and emotionally it is more difficult.

Sharp objects have a purpose other than killing. We also don’t have a problem with sharp object deaths. So no. They shouldn’t be banned.
