KInd of a bad joke but hinting at a theory. The viruses is actually a backstop to prevent a larger probelm of genetic dissapaition or erosion due to increased recreational chemical use, pollution,food additives, and prescription drugs.
I’m sure everyone has read an article about part of the human genome made up of past viruses incorporated into it. Most research articles turn up 8%.
So it might be a genetic comeup, necessary now due to genetic breakdown by cell phones, radios, laptops, etc. Or it might be a sink or swin thing that we need to evolve now or the next viruses will eliminate the human species and allow room for another one more suited and ready for life.
Virus always equals the potential for DNA, loss or gain or just discard.

It amazes me that this gives some people confidence, that their leaders are praying to a spook in the sky for guidance during a possible pandemic.

Yes, cancer is first. Likely first in most countries. Or heart disease. Nobody lives forever. It might be nice to be out of your mind while you die.
